1. The Risk of Severe Hypotension (Low Blood Pressure)
••Carvedilol is a potent, non-selective beta-blocker and alpha-1 blocker that lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on your heart. Mukta Vati is an Ayurvedic formulation that contains highly active anti-hypertensive herbs—most notably Sarpagandha (Rauvolfia serpentina).
Sarpagandha contains reserpine, which naturally depletes catecholamines (like adrenaline) to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
••Taking them together creates an additive effect. They will fight for the same control over your vascular system, which can cause your blood pressure to crash dangerously low (hypotension). This will make you feel far worse, causing severe dizziness, fainting spells, or profound fatigue.
2. Dangerous Drops in Heart Rate (Bradycardia)
••Both Carvedilol and the herbs in Mukta Vati (such as Sarpagandha and Jatamansi) slow down your heart rate. Combining them can suppress your heart’s natural pacemaker too much, leading to a dangerously low heart rate (bradycardia) or irregular heart rhythms.

Because Carvedilol blocks your body’s adrenaline receptors, your body responds over time by creating more receptors to compensate.
