Doctors' responses
Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
Your current condition involves managing blood pressure (BP) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), alongside medications like Telma CH and Ecosprin. From an Ayurvedic viewpoint, hypertension can be linked to imbalances in the Pitta dosha, which governs heat and intensity in the body. The use of medications like Telma CH and Ecosprin aims to manage these imbalances by controlling blood pressure and preventing blood clotting. Cardirium Plus syrup, typically used for heart health, may support cardiovascular function, but any new addition should be carefully considered with your current regimen.
Regarding BPH, Ayurvedic wisdom attributes prostate issues to an imbalance in the Kapha dosha, which can lead to stagnation and enlargement. Varunadi Kashayam is often recommended to support urinary health and balance Kapha. However, it’s crucial to ensure that any herbal preparations do not interfere with your existing medications or health conditions.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.
Please answer each question as clearly as possible:
1. How long have you been taking Telma CH and Ecosprin? Choose from: Less than 1 month, 1-6 months, 6 months to 1 year, More than 1 year. 2. Have you experienced any side effects from your current medications? Please specify if they are mild, moderate, or severe. 3. What is your typical blood pressure reading with your current medications? Indicate if it’s in the normal range, slightly elevated, high, or uncontrolled. 4. Do you have any other health conditions besides LBBB and BPH? Options include: Diabetes, High cholesterol, Heart disease, or No other conditions. 5. How often do you monitor your blood pressure? Is it daily, weekly, monthly, or rarely? 6. Have you discussed your interest in Ayurvedic treatments with your doctor? Let us know if they support it, are cautious, or against it. 7. How would you rate your overall energy levels? Choose from high, moderate, low, or very low energy.
Your detailed responses will enable the doctors to tailor an Ayurvedic approach that complements your current treatments safely.
