Hello I get that you’re worried about your kid’s focus, memory, and how they’re feeling. At 10, their brain is still developing so any herbs we use need to be super gentle and just the right amount. But, when done right, these kinds of natural helpers can be awesome for focus, keeping calm, and learning. Ayurvedic View Your child seems to have a Prana-Udana Vata thing going on with a bit of Tamas, which can cause: – Trouble paying attention – Being restless – Forgetfulness – Mood swings We want to feed their brain and chill out their nervous system. Right Amount for a 10-Year-Old Daily Brain Boost Mix Mix these equally and keep them handy: 1 Brahmi 50 g
2 Shankhpushpi 50 g
3 Jatamansi 25 g
4 Ashwagandha 25 g
5.Vacha 5 g (It’s strong!) Dose Half a teaspoon, twice a day How to Serve It: Mix it in: – 1 tsp warm milk – Half tsp ghee – 1 drop honey Give it: – In the morning, after breakfast – At night, before bed Why This Works 1 Brahmi & Shankhpushpi→ good memory, focus 2.Jatamansi→ calms nerves 3. Ashwagandha → feeds the nerves 4 Vacha → helps with speech and focus How Long? Keep it up for 3 months, then we’ll see how things are going. Important – Don’t give more vacha – Don’t give on an empty tummy – No junk food or sugar – No cold drinks ✅INCLUDE – Almond paste – Cow ghee – Dates – Warm milk – Moong dal – Rice – Banana This is a safe, time-tested way to help with things like trouble focusing, learning, and ADHD in kids. Your child can get better naturally this way. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

For a ten year old child herbs should be given in very mild doses and not all together For focus and concentration the safest options are brahmi and shankhpushpi and these are usually enough Brahmi powder can be given in the dose of one fourth teaspoon once daily mixed with warm milk or honey preferably in the morning If brahmi syrup is used then five ml once daily is sufficient Shankhpushpi is best given as a syrup in children The dose is five ml once daily after breakfast If powder is used then one fourth teaspoon once daily with milk or honey Ashwagandha should be given only if the child has weakness stress poor sleep or low stamina The dose should be one fourth teaspoon once daily with warm milk at night It should not be given if the child is very restless or aggressive Jatamansi is a strong herb and is generally not needed for a ten year old It should be avoided for routine use If ever required for sleep or anxiety it should be only a pinch once daily and only for a short period under supervision Vacha is usually avoided in children as it is very sharp and heating and can irritate the throat stomach and nerves It should not be given daily for concentration problems It is important not to mix all these herbs together Start with brahmi and shankhpushpi only Give for six to eight weeks and observe improvement Along with this reduce junk food sugar and screen time and ensure proper sleep routine as these play a big role in concentration and learning

HELLO, For a 10 year old child, herbal dosing must be conservative, especially for cognition and focus. In paediatrics, herbs are usually given at 1/4-1/2 of an adult dose, not all these herbs should be combined together GENERAL PRINCIPLES -Start low and increase only if well tolerated -use 1-2 herbs, not all five together -prefer powder or standardized syrup made for children -best given after food -trial periods= 6-8 weeks, then reassess 1) BRAHMI= best first choice benefits= memory, attention, learning DOSE= 250-500 mg once daily -mix with honey, warm milk or water time= morning or after school -safe and well studied in children -can be used long term 2) SHANKHAUSHPI= calm focus, reduced mental restlessness DOSE= 250mg once daily -alternative= pediatric shankhapushpi syrup time= morning or afternoon Good if child is distracted or anxious Avoid excessive doses (can cause lethargy) 3) JATAMANSI= calming, sleep, emotional regulation DOSE= 125-250 mg once daily Time= evening only -use only if anxiety, irritability, or sleep issues are present Not for daily long term use 4) ASHWAGANDHA= stress resilience, energy, confidence DOSE= 250mg once daily how= with warm milk time= night Avoid if child is hyperactive or very restless avoid in thyroid issues 5) VACHA= use with caution -Benefits= speech, alertness not recommended routinely in children SUGGESTED SAFE COMBINATIONS OPTION 1 (best starter) -Brahmi 250 mg once daily OPTION 2= if anxiety and poor focus -Brahmi 250mg -shankhapushpi 250 mg (once daily) OPTION 3= if stress or low confidence -Brahmi 250mg morning -ashwagandha 250 mg night SIGNS TO TOP OR REDUCE -excessive sleepiness -stomach upset -irritability -headache NON HERBAL FACTORS Herbs work poorly without this -8-9 hours of sleep -protein rich breakfast -limited screen time -daily outdoor play -iron, b12, and vitamin D adequacy For a child with no noticeable response so far, avoid adding more herbs. Instead -ensure correct dose -use single herb consistently -combine with routine and nutrition DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. MAITRI ACHARYA
