Second stage AVN (Avascular Necrosis) means bone damage has started but collapse has not fully happened yet. At this stage, treatment decision depends on severity, size of the lesion, pain level, and MRI findings. In many early Stage 2 cases, conservative management with medicines, restricted weight bearing, physiotherapy, and supportive treatment can help slow progression and reduce pain. Surgery is not always immediately necessary, especially if there is no significant collapse. However, if the affected area is large or pain is increasing despite treatment, surgical options may be advised to prevent further damage. In Ayurveda, management focuses on improving blood circulation to the bone, reducing inflammation, strengthening bone tissue, and supporting regeneration through internal medicines, Panchakarma procedures like Basti, and lifestyle correction. But success depends on how early the case is and how consistently treatment is followed. Since AVN progression varies from person to person, I recommend a detailed review of your MRI reports and current condition before deciding whether non-surgical management is sufficient or surgery should be considered. A proper consultation will help guide you in the right direction safely.

HELLO, STAGE 2 AVN means the blood supply to the bone is reduced but the joint surface has not yet collapsed In this stage, treatment without surgery is sometimes possible, but it depends on severity, symptoms and MRI findings. surgery is not always immediately required CAN STAGE 2 AVN BE TREATED WITHOUT SURGERY? It may be possible if -symptoms are present for 3-6 months -there is no bone collapse -MRI shows early stage2 -pain is manageable -the affected area is small However, many orthopaedic doctors recommend core decompression at this stage to prevent further joint collapse Regular monitoring MRI follow up is very important Ayurveda focuses on reducing vata imbalance, improving circulation, and strengthening bone tissue INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) YOGARAJ GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals 2) LAKSHADI GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily after meals 3) ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm milk at night 4) DASHMOOLA KASHAYA= 20ml + equal water twice daily before meals EXTERNAL THERAPIES 1) Mahanarayan oil gentle massage 2) Mild steam therapy after oil massage daily DIET -warm,nourishing food -milk, ghee -sesame seeds -avoid cold, dr, junk food LIFESTYLE -avoid putting excess weight on the joint -maintain healthy body weight -gentle physiotherapy only -avoid high impact activities Ayurvedic treatment can be supportive, but Stage 2 AVN can progress if not properly monitored. if pain increases or MRI. shows worsening, surgical options may be necessary DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU
