what are the remedies for edema induced swelling and pain in the feet? At night burning feeling of the feet happens. My medical profile details are: 81 years old, BP and Diabetes type 2 for the last 30 years. on insulin and metformin tablets.

–Your foot swelling is likely due to fluid collecting in the legs, which with long-term diabetes and blood pressure. Sitting or standing for long hours makes it worse. The burning sensation at night is most likely due to diabetic nerve irritation.
Advice:
Keep your legs elevated for 20–30 minutes, 3–4 times daily.
Avoid sitting or standing too long.
Reduce salt intake.
Do gentle ankle movements.
Keep blood sugar well controlled.
