Seeking Ayurvedic Recommendations for Constipation and Gut Health - #51160

Posha

Can I get some easy to follow recommendations for the following complaints. Thanks. Profile - 62 years, Female, American, 102 lbs (lost 15 pounds in 2 years), 5 feet 2 inches. Avoids dairy and gluten 1. Tendency for constipation -Alternating between 2 days of well formed easy BM and then being constipated for a couple of days. Taking Magnesium supplement helps with constipation and she takes this every 2 days. 2. Has a good appetite and does not skip meals. After switching to Ayurvedic style of eating , she complains of smelly gas after lunch and continues to have constipation 2. Has switched to well cooked warm meals with some basic spices. Drinks CCF tea. 3. May have leaky gut syndrome and poor assimilation and wants to reduce any gut inflammation 4. Has spring allergy - Sneezing bout for 10 mins with lots of clear mucus in morning after drinking warm lime water. BF- Steamed fruit with ghee, cardamom/ cinnamon. Or gluten free toast with nutbutter Lunch-Kichari, dhal, rice, vegetables , ghee Dinner- Soft corn veggie tacos, soups, kitchari I would like to suggest the following : 1. Haritaki churnam 1/2 tsp with warm water after dinner / soaked raisins in the morning to help with constipation 2. Kushmandu rasayana or Narasimha Rasayan for weight gain, possible allergies 3. Hingwastak churna before meals ( although her appetite is good this may help with smelly gas) 4. Vilwadi lehyam after meals for gut health 5. Include buttermilk
