Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
Persistent headaches, particularly migraines, and insomnia can be linked to an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas. Vata governs the nervous system and when aggravated, it can lead to symptoms like insomnia and a feeling of heaviness. Pitta, associated with heat and intensity, can contribute to the sharp, throbbing pain typical of migraines.
The heaviness you feel might indicate the presence of ama (toxins) or an imbalance in Kapha, leading to sluggishness and a lack of mental clarity. This combination of symptoms suggests a disruption in your internal harmony, affecting your nervous and digestive systems.
Ayurveda views these issues as interconnected, not isolated. When Vata is imbalanced, it can disturb the mind and sleep, while Pitta’s influence can intensify pain and discomfort. Addressing these underlying imbalances holistically can help restore equilibrium.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.

Diet simple rakhein: warm, cooked food, vegetables, moong dal, thoda ghee, soaked almonds, aur fruits jaise apple ya pear. Khali pet ya irregular meals headache ko trigger kar sakte hain. Simple home remedies: Subah empty stomach warm water me 1 teaspoon honey ya thoda sa ghee le sakte hain, digestion improve karne ke liye. Neck aur shoulders ka gentle massage sesame oil se karein, ya sir par warm compress 10 minutes, headache relief me help karta hai. Sleeping routine ko fix karein: raat ko 10–10:30 baje sone ki koshish karein, aur sone se pehle deep breathing ya light meditation karein. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Brahmi Churna – 1 teaspoon, raat ko doodh ke saath, neend aur stress control me help karta hai Shankhapushpi Churna – 1/2 teaspoon din me 2 baar, dimaag ko calm karta hai Arjuna Churna – 1 teaspoon, din me ek baar, blood circulation aur headache me support karta hai Aapko 1–2 weeks me headache aur heavy feeling me halka relief feel hoga, aur neend thodi improve hogi. Consistency aur routine maintain karna zaroori hai. Agar migraine attacks severe ho ya vision/speech me problem aaye, turant doctor se consult karein.
