How to treat pancreatitis and gallbladder issues with Tulsi and Amla? - #53133

Tulsi and amla was once prescribed by an Ayurvedic physician he said that My body is not absorbing food properly. Un digested foods in fecal deposited. My Prakriti is vatta pitta. And he said tulsi drink that as my water daily. Would this advice still be recommended now for the pancreatitis attack I have had? What can I do about my gallbladder.

the pancreas (Agnashaya) is the seat of Agni (digestive fire), and your Vata-Pitta constitution means you need treatments that are cooling yet supportive of movement. Regarding your current routine: Tulsi and Amla are generally beneficial, but during or immediately after a pancreatitis attack, caution is needed. While Amla is excellent for Pitta, Tulsi is heating (Ushna Virya) and may occasionally aggravate an inflamed pancreas if taken in excess. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 1) Patolakaturohinyadi Kashayam- 15 ml with 45 ml lukewarm water morning empty stomach 2) Dadimadi Ghritam - 1 tsp with warm water before lunch 3) Arogyavardhini Vati- 1 tablet after lunch 4) Dhanwantharam Gulika- 1 tablet with cumín water evening around 5 pm 5) Avipathi Choornam- 1/2 to 1 tsp with warm water at night Food to Favor Manda/Peya: Thin rice water or mung dal soup. Include gourds (bottle gourd, ridge gourd) and pomegranate. Use Cumin (Jeera), Fennel (Saunf), and Coriander (Dhania). Avoid chili, black pepper, and ginger during the inflammatory phase. Buttermilk (Takra): Churned buttermilk with a pinch of roasted cumin is excellent for absorption but avoid thick curd/yogurt Food to Avoid Deep-fried foods and heavy oils Refined Flour (Maida) Avoid vinegar, pickles, and very sour citrus Daily Habits Vajrasana: Sit in the for 5-10 minutes after meals Small, Never overfill the stomach. eating only when truly hungry. Sip lukewarm water throughout the day.

Tulsi & Amla Tulsi water daily – still safe, gentle, helps digestion and immunity Amla – good for digestion and liver, can continue in small amounts (1 tsp juice or powder) Yes, this advice can be followed even after pancreatitis, but keep quantities small and avoid sour or heavy foods if pancreas is inflamed. For pancreatitis recovery Eat light, cooked food: rice, dal, khichdi, steamed vegetables Avoid fried, oily, heavy, spicy foods Drink warm water, herbal teas (like ginger, tulsi) Take Triphala (½ tsp at night) if stools are irregular For gallbladder Avoid fatty foods, fried items, ghee in excess Take Gokshura or Punarnava decoction for mild detox support (only if your doctor allows) Small, frequent meals are better

Hello, First- important correction to old advice Your earlier prescription of Tulsi water daily was likely for ama (undigested toxins) + low agni . But after pancreatitis, that advice needs modification -Tulsi is heating-> can aggravate pitta -pancreatitis +gallbaldder issues already involve pitta+ inflammation So -daily tulsi water= NOT ideal now -use in moderation or pause for now Your current Ayurvedic diagnosis -low digestive fire= mandagni -ama accumulation =undigested food In stool -vata pitta imbalance -agnimandya affecting pancreas and gallbladder Ayurvedic management 1) Agni correction (most important) without fixing digestion, nothing will work Recommended -warm water throughout the day (no tulsi daily) -add small ginger + jeera infusion -Hinguvachadi gulika= 1 tab twice daily before meals with warm water =improves digestion + reduces bloating 2) Ama removal (detox without stressing pancreas) Gentle approach only (No strong detox) -light , warm, freshly cooked meals -avoid fasting/extreme detox -Vaiswanara churna= 1/2 tsp with warm water after meals =helps digest ama safely Diet plan very important -moong dal khichdi= thin, with little ghee -steamed vegetables= lauki, pumpkin, carrot -rice gruel -buttermilk diluted, with roasted jeera Avoid completely -fried, oily, spicy food -panner, cheese, red meat -cold drinks, raw salads -excess sour, fermented food Daily routine -eat at fixed times -sleep before 10:30 pm -avoid stress your trigger -Dhanwantaram taila= gentle abdominal massage clockwise =helps vata +digestion Pancreatitis needs cooling + healing + light digestion -Amla is beneficial =cooling, pitta pacifying You can take -fresh amla juice diluted OR Gallbladder care Gallbladder issues= pitta + fat metabolism problem Key principles -very low fat diet but not zero -small frequent meals -no heavy dinner -Kutki tablets= 1 tab twice daily after meals What about tulsi now? You can -use tulsi occasionally 2-3 times/week -combine with coriander , and fennel to reduce heat Old advice tulsi daily was correct earlier, but not ideal now Focus now= gentle digestion + cooling + low fat+ stress control Keep everything mild, warm and simple Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

Hello Amla is cooling so good to take, Tulsi has anti microbial properties., both taken will help improve immunity, When body is not absorbing food properly and undigested food in feacal show digestion issues sluggish, also minor pancreatic attack also causes these problems. Start with Heposem syrup 10ml twice daily after food with water Alsactil tablet 1-0-1 after food with water. Avoid processed fatty foods fast foods , sugary foods spicy foods. Avoid alcohol, nonveg food if non-vegetarian.
