Foot drop for such a long duration (5 years), especially after fracture and with SLE, indicates chronic nerve weakness and damage. In such cases, Ayurveda can help in improving nerve strength and function, but recovery is usually gradual. Since you are on long-term steroid (Wysolone), treatment should be supportive and carefully balanced, not aggressive. Keep regular physiotherapy going — it is very important in foot drop. Avoid strain, but keep the limb active. Daily oil massage (sesame oil or medicated oil) on leg and foot followed by mild heat (fomentation) can help nerve stimulation. Ashwagandha tablet – 1 tablet twice daily after food Yograj Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Dashmool tablet – 1 tablet twice daily These help in strengthening nerves and reducing associated stiffness.
