Chikungunya often leaves long-term joint pain and stiffness that can mimic RA. –In rheumatoid arthritis (Amavata), Ashwagandha is generally not the primary herb because it can sometimes increase Ama and aggravate inflammation in some patients. It may be used only in selected cases . Treatment is usually based on Ama-pachana, Vata balance, and proper detox approach rather than routine Ashwagandha use. —Diagnosis: Amavata / RA / Post-viral arthritis Rx: 1) Aimil Livomyn – 1–2 tab BD after food 2) Aimil Rheumocare – 1–2 tab BD after food 3) Aimil Orthovita – 1 tab BD after food 4) tab trifla 1 tab at night 5) Rheumocare oil local application BD + mild warm fomentation —Advice: Warm light diet, avoid curd at night & cold/fried foods, gentle physiotherapy.

1.Simhanad guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.Yograj guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 3.Maharasnadi kwath 15 ml with 15 ml water twice daily after meals 4.Amruthotharam kashyam 15 ml with 15 ml water twice daily after meals External Support (Very Important) Since this is a 5-year-old chronic issue, dry heat is generally better than heavy oil massage if there is still stiffness (Stambha) in the morning. -Valuka Sweda (Sand Fomentation): Apply a warm sand bag (or a potli of coarse salt) to the affected joints. This “dries up” the inflammatory fluid. -Kottamchukkadi Tailam: If there is no active swelling, this oil is excellent for post-viral stiffness. Apply gently without deep pressure. Dietary Adjustments for RA -The “Ginger Rule”: Use Dry Ginger (Sunthi) in your tea and cooking. It is the best herb for digesting the Ama that causes RA pain. -Avoid “Heavy” Foods: Strictly avoid curd (Dahi), heavy lentils like Urad Dal, and fermented foods like Idli/Dosa at night. These increase joint stiffness. -Warmth: Only drink lukewarm water. Cold water is an immediate trigger for Vata-related joint pain.
