Having issues to loose weight. I tried alot but failed. Joined the gym that also failed. Tried multiple diets but no progress. I'm not diabetic. I'm a male 48 years old. 1.6m. Tall. Weight is 91kg.

Start your mornings with a glass of lukewarm water infused with fresh lemon juice and a pinch of ginger. This combination acts as a gentle cleanse for your system and stimulates your agni, or digestive fire, which is often sluggish in people struggling with weight.

When it comes to meals, prioritize foods that are light, warm, and easy to digest, such as hearty soups, cooked vegetables, and stews. Whole grains like barley, quinoa, and millet can be good companions at this time. Try to include spices like cumin, turmeric, and black pepper as they support metabolism.

Also, timing of your meals is equally important; aim to have your largest meal during lunchtime when your digestive fire is at its peak (around noon). Evening meals should be lighter and consumed at least 2-3 hours before bed, avoiding anything cold or raw at night.

Incorporating some form of movement is crucial too—but the type is important. Instead of high-intensity workouts which sometimes feel daunting, gentle yet consistent activities like brisk walking or yoga targeting kapha can be more beneficial. Even 20-30 minutes a day can effectively improve circulation and reduce excess weight.

Regular massage with oils like mustard or sesame can help to balance kapha by improving circulation and detoxifying the body. Follow this practice once or twice a week.

Finally, consider herbal support, such as triphala before bedtime, as it helps in detoxification and maintaining regular bowel movements. Add two tsp of this mix in warm water before you sleep. But make sure to consult with a healthcare practitioner before starting any herbal regimen.

Stay away from cold and heavy foods, as well as too much dairy, sweets, and fried items, all of which imbalance kapha dosha. Sleep is also crucial; aim for 7-8 hours nightly to support all the body’s systems, including metabolism.
