Hi my mother have itching in body like in leg and in navel and most of the time in navel and leg and because of itching the skin layer remove a little of navel then what is solution can it happen from sugar eating or not and can it happen from warm weather or not please give solution

First, consider the diet, which plays a significant role in maintaining dosha balance. Reducing Pitta-aggravating foods is a primary focus. Encourage your mother to avoid spicy, salty, and sour foods that may worsen the Pitta Dosh. Instead, incorporate foods that are cooling and soothing, such as cucumber, watermelon, and coconut water. Additionally, consuming Aloe vera juice might help in cooling down the system.

Applying a paste of turmeric and sandalwood powder mixed with water on itchy areas can provide relief. Both ingredients are known for their soothing properties. Allow the paste to dry before washing it off gently. Regular application might reduce discomfort.

Bathing with lukewarm water, adding a few drops of rose water or neem leaves to the water, may reduce inflammation and provide relief from itching. Remember to pat the skin dry gently after bathing.

Summer months often require extra care for your skin, so keeping hydrated is crucial. Encourage her to drink plenty of fluids, use lighter, breathable fabrics, and avoid direct sunlight during peak hours. A coconut oil massage 30 minutes before a shower could replenish lost oils and relieve dryness, but see if it suits her.

While these measures align with traditional Ayurvedic principles, chronic itching or skin damage should not be overlooked. Considering your mother’s symptoms have led to skin layer removal, consulting with a dermatologist or a healthcare provider is advisable to rule out infections or other skin conditions.
