Experiencing consistently high body temperature and feeling hot throughout the day can be indicative of a Pitta imbalance in your body according to Ayurveda. To address this, let’s delve into ways to pacify excessive Pitta. Diet plays a crucial role, so incorporating cooling foods is essential. Focus on eating foods that are naturally cooling, sweet, and astringent. Include fresh fruits like watermelon, cucumber, and sweet grapes. Vegetables such as zucchini, asparagus, and cilantro, are also beneficial.

Spices should be mild. Use coriander, fennel, and mint while cooking, as they help cool down the body. Avoid spicy, salty, and sour items that aggravate Pitta, like chilies, salty snacks, and citrus fruits, except lime in small amounts. Reduce intake of processed, fermented, or fried foods. Meals should be taken at regular times, without skipping or delaying, to stabilize digestive fire (Agni).

Hydration is key. Drink water throughout the day, but avoid iced or refrigerated beverages, as they disrupt Agni. Herbal teas made of mint, coriander, and fennel taken at room temperature can be soothing. Aloe vera juice, around 20-30 ml, taken once in the morning, can also help cool Pitta.

For lifestyle, aim for moderation in sun exposure and avoid heavy exercises during the hottest times of the day. Engage in calming activities — yoga, meditation, or a slow evening walk. A regular sleep schedule, with a focus on rest, can significantly balance internal heat. Keeping a journal for stress management might help, since emotional stress fuels Pitta.

Try self-massage with cooling oils, like coconut or sunflower oil, before a shower to draw out excess heat. Avoid smoking, alcohol, and excessive caffeine consumption, as they provokes Pitta imbalanace. But, if your symptoms persist, visit a medical practitioner to rule out underlying conditions such as infections or hormonal issues. It’s crucial to address any consistent symptoms with professional guidance to ensure comprehensive health care.

Feeling a persistent sense of heat in the body often suggests an imbalance in the pitta dosha, which is associated with heat and metabolism in ayurvedic understanding. Let’s address ways to help balance this.

Firstly, consider looking closely at your dietary habits. Opt for cooling foods such as cucumbers, watermelons, and leafy greens. Avoid spicy foods, caffeine, and alcohol, as these can aggravate the pitta dosha and increase internal heat. Drinking a glass of buttermilk or coconut water daily can also be cooling and soothing.

Including herbs such as amalaki (Indian gooseberry), shatavari, and brahmi in your routine may help calm excessive heat. These can often be found in powder form or as part of herbal formulations. Mix amalaki powder with water and consume it in the morning to start cooling the body.

For your lifestyle, try to remain in cool environments and avoid sun exposure during peak hours. Incorporating calming activities like yoga or meditation can be beneficial. Deep breathing exercises, particularly sheetali pranayama, where you breathe in through a curled tongue, can instantly cool down body temperature.

Hydration is critical, but ensure the water is at room temperature rather than cold, which can disturb digestion or agni — the digestive fire. Stay consistent with these tips, but if symptoms persist or become more severe, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying conditions or infections that might require immediate attention. Addressing your body heat through these practices might take time and patience.
