When it comes to managing H. pylori infections with Ayurveda, targeting the root cause is essential, focusing on balancing the Pitta dosha and supporting digestion. You may find some relief through specific Ayurvedic formulations and lifestyle adjustments. Firstly, consider taking “Kutajarishta,” an herbal decoction known to soothe the gastrointestinal tract and balance digestive disturbances. Usually consumed after meals, 15-20 ml with equal parts water is recommended twice daily.

“Triphala” is another powerful formulation, made with Amla, Haritaki, and Bibhitaki. It can help regulate bowel movements and detoxify the digestive tract. Take 1-2 grams in warm water before bed. When it comes to diet, focus on Pitta-pacifying foods. Include cooling and soothing food—like cucumber, zucchini, and coconut water. Limiting spicy, fermented, or oily foods can also aid in reducing inflammation.

Remember to incorporate “Ayurvedic Buttermilk” made with cumin and coriander; it is supportive for the digestive system. You may drink half a glass during lunch to enhance digestion. Consistent yogic practices such as “Pawanmuktasana” and “Vajrasana” post meals for a few minutes can support digestion, alleviate bloating, and relieve abdominal tightness.

In terms of lifestyle, ensure you’re eating meals at regular intervals and maintain hydration levels. Avoid late-night meals as they can disrupt the agni, or digestive fire. While these recommendations may help alleviate symptoms, it is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional or a certified Ayurvetic practitioner to get a holistic evaluation and personalized care, especially as H. pylori can sometimes requires antibiotics treatment under medical supervision.

When addressing H. pylori infection through the lens of Siddha-Ayurveda, it’s important to consider balancing the body’s doshas, particularly the pitta dosha, which can influence digestive issues. Here we look at herbal remedies and lifestyle practices that might support you without overwhelming your routine.

Firstly, Triphala, a blend of three fruits (haritaki, bibhitaki, and amalaki), can be beneficial. It supports digestive health and might help in restoring balance. You could consider taking it in powder form with warm water at night before bed.

Neem (Azadirachta indica) is known for its antimicrobial properties. A capsule or tablet daily can assist in targeting the bacterial imbalance without causing harm to the gut flora. Additionally, Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) might help soothe the gut lining due to its gentle cooling effect, making it beneficial once or twice a day with warm milk if you tolerate dairy well.

Your symptoms suggest agni (digestive fire) might be disrupted, leading to bloating and discomfort. Regularly consuming a teaspoon of grated ginger with a pinch of rock salt before meals can stimulate agni and might reduce bloating.

Caution: If symptoms persist or worsen, a proper assessment by a healthcare professional is crucial. Blackish stools especially need immediate attention as they could indicate internal bleeding. Balancing natural remedies with necessary medical intervention remains essential for healing. Limit your use of these herbs to a few weeks at a time, and keep in touch with healthcare providers to track progress. This ensures the best outcome while preventing complications.
