Thank you for reaching out and trusting this platform with your Health journey I can understand that the past few years have not been easy from recovering after severe Covid infection with 90% lung involvement to dealing with fibrosis and now deep thrombosis Your body has gone through intense inflammation, weakness, and recovery phases The good news is even after such heavy challenges. The body has the ability to heal gradually when given the right kind of nourishment and balance. Ayurveda helps in supporting this recovery gently without disturbing your ongoing medical line of treatment

After Covid, the lung often go through a stage called fibrosis where the delicate air sacs and tissues that help you breathe, become stiff and less elastic

In Ayurveda, we understand this as the result of vata (dryness stiffness, degeneration) and kapha (mucus congestion) imbalance These two together make the lung tissues, less flexible, and filled with residual inflammation

When this happens, oxygen transfer becomes difficult and the body tires easily Long-term inflammation, also disturbs the blood circulation and sometimes due to reduced movement and sluggish flow, blood clot(deep vein, thrombosis) can form in the legs This is again seen as a stagnation of vata and rakta flow in Ayurveda

Our goal should be To reduce lung, inflammation, and stiffness Improve oxygenation and stamina Keep blood circulation healthy to avoid further clot formation Strengthen overall vitality ( ojas) and immunity You can start on Kanakasava -15, ML with equal water after lunch and dinner This is a classical preparation helps in relieving breathlessness, dry cough, and mild congestion It strengthens the bronchi and helps the lungs expand better over time. It reduces the feeling of chest tightness and supports natural breathing capacity. Vasavaleha-1 teaspoon after breakfast and dinner with warm water It soothes inflamed lung tissue, reduces dryness and promotes mucus clearance. It is particularly beneficial in lung fibrosis as it supports the repair of lining tissue and brings relief from cough and throat dryness. Arjuna ksheera pak -1 teaspoon Arjuna kwatha powder in 300 ML water and hundred ML milk boil until it remains hundred ML filter and drink on empty stomach drink twice daily one hour before breakfast, and one hour before dinner It improves blood circulation prevents clot formation and ions. Oxygen delivery to tissue. In cases is a wonderful support for both the lungs and circulatory system. Lakshmi vilasa Ras 1-0-1 Sithophaladi churna 1/2 teaspoon with honey twice daily Tulsi juice 10 ML once daily with water Sahacharado taila

Warm the oil slightly and gently massage your legs upward from ankles to knee for 5 to 10 minutes before bath This helps improve Venus circulation reduces swelling or stiffness in the flux legs, and supports better lymphatic flow

Your diet will play a big role during this phase of healing. The main aim should be to avoid that increases, dryness, mucus, or stagnation. Prefer warm light and easily digestible food Add a teaspoon of ghee in diet Avoid cold, heavy, oily and processed food, curd, bakery items, cold drinks, and sugar Include spices like turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, and Tulsi in cooking Drink warm water throughout the day Avoid chilled water or cold water Fresh fruits like pomegranate, Amla, apple, or good for your blood and lungs Practice pranayama, such as anulom vilom and brahmari daily for about 5 to 10 minutes twice day This will help your lungs active and improves oxygen exchange Avoid holding breath or forceful exercise as they can strain the lungs Do light walking or my leg movements to maintenance circulation and prevent blood pooling Keep your leg slightly elevated while sleeping or resting And your good sleep and mental calmness, stress can aggravate vata and delay, Healing

Continue your prescribed prednisolone and Nintedanib exactly as your pulmonologist advise Ayurvedic medicines here or supportive, but not as in replacement Once you are steroids or tapered and your condition stabilisers, we can introduce rasayans to rebuild tissue strength

Ayurveda looks at condition, not just as a disease of lungs or veins, but as a deeper imbalance of your internal elements-dryness, stagnation, and inflammation By supporting natural tissue repair, improving blood flow and rebuilding your vitality, Ayurveda helps the body heal from the inside out

With consistent use of these few medicines, proper diet and lifestyle care, you can expect gradually improvement in breathing capacity, stamina and leg comfort over the next few months Healing, after such a severe illness, take time, but it is absolutely possible with steady and gentle care

Managing lung fibrosis and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after COVID-19 involves carefully integrated care, combining modern medicine with Ayurveda where appropriate. For lung fibrosis, Ayurvedic principles focus on balancing the doshas and strengthening the respiratory system. Emphasize foods and herbs that strengthen lung tissues and pacify aggravated Vata and Pitta doshas, often responsible for inflammation and stress in the respiratory corridors.

Include warm and moist foods that are easy to digest, like rice porridge or mung dal soup, adding spices like turmeric and ginger, known for anti-inflammatory properties. A teaspoon of pippali (long pepper) mixed with honey is traditionally used to rejuvenate lung function — but consult your doctor before introducing any new remedy due potential interactions with your current medication stack.

Pranayama exercises, particularly Bhramari (bee breathing) and Anulom Vilom, can help improve oxygenation and calm the mind. As always, start gently and listen closely to your body.

With DVT, maintain movement to promote circulation — daily walks are beneficial, provided they don’t strain your body too much. Performing simple leg exercises and elevation may help too. Ayurveda views DVT as a product of disturbed Vata which constricts and inhibits normal blood flow.

The use of herbs like Arjuna can support the circulatory system, but considering your condition, discuss all adjustments, especially herbal ones, with your healthcare provider. Ensure fluid intake is balanced, not overloading, while emphasizing warm water over cold; supports digestion while keeps tissues supple.

It’s also crucial; continue following the medication regimen prescribed by your doctors and maintain regular check-ups. As these conditions develop quickly and require immediate attention, prioritize collaborative care with your health team to ensure all approaches complement each other effectively. Seeking immediate medical attention for any severe symptoms like chest pain or breathing difficulties is non-negotiable.

Dealing with post-COVID complications like lung fibrosis and deep vein thrombosis can be challenging. While you are undergoing conventional treatments, certain Siddha-Ayurvedic approaches can support your recovery without interfering with your medications. For lung fibrosis, it’s important to focus on reducing inflammation and promoting lung health. Consider incorporating turmeric (Curcuma longa) into your diet, known for its anti-inflammatory properties. A warm infusion of turmeric with ginger and black pepper taken once a day can benefit the lungs. Inhale steam from boiling water with eucalyptus oil; this may help ease breathing and congestion.

For nurturing lung tissue, try preparing a decoction with tulsi (holy basil), vasa (Adhatoda vasica), and licorice root. Drinking this mixture once daily can strengthen lung function.

Regarding deep vein thrombosis, maintaining blood flow and supporting circulation is crucial. A gentle daily self-massage with warm sesame oil might improve circulation. Ensure your diet is balanced, emphasizing fiber-rich foods and those rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, like flaxseeds and walnuts, as they support cardiovascular health.

Additionally, prioritize gentle physical activity within your comfort limit to aid circulation—like simple leg raises or short walks as tolerated. Important to avoid any self-treatment regimens without consulting your physician, especially with your current medicines. For severe symptoms like sudden leg pain or breathing difficulties, immediate medical attention is vital as these could indicate serious complications.
