Chest pain, especially if it’s new or severe, can be concerning and should be taken seriously. It’s crucial to first rule out any serious conditions that could require immediate medical attention. Given your symptoms of left chest pain, tightness, anxiety, and inability to sleep, please seek medical evaluation promptly. If you’re unable to get quick medical attention or if the pain worsens, visit an emergency room as soon as possible. Safety first, always.

Now, assuming your physician confirms it’s not a critical heart problem, we can consider ways through Ayurveda to address anxiety, stress, and residual chest discomfort.

In Ayurveda, such symptoms can be linked to an aggravated Vata dosha, causing anxiety, stress, and insomnia. Here are some practical steps you can incorporate:

1. Herbal Remedies: - Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is soothing for stress and anxiety. You can take it in powder form mixed with warm milk before bedtime. - Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) may be helpful for heart health. Taking Arjuna powder with lukewarm water can be beneficial.

2. Diet Considerations: - Favor warm, calming, and nourishing foods like cooked grains, warm soups, and cooked vegetables. Avoid cold, raw, and processed foods, which may disturb Vata. - Incorporate almond milk with a pinch of nutmeg at night to improve sleep.

3. Lifestyle Adjustments: - Ensure a regular sleep schedule and create a restful environment in your room. Watching screens before bed should be avoided. - Gentle yoga, including breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom, can calm the mind.

4. Daily Routine (Dinacharya): - Start your day with a self-massage (Abhyanga) using warm sesame oil. This balances Vata and promotes relaxation. - Meditative practices daily, even for 10-15 minutes, can help in reducing stress levels and promote mental calmness.

These recommendations require consistency to see benefits, and it’s always good to align them with any ongoing medical treatments or lifestyle changes you’ve adopted since quitting smoking and alcohol. Most importantly, if any of your symptoms persist or increase, please consult with your healthcare provider again. Feel free to ask if you have more questions or need clarity.
