Experiencing bloating and discomfort after meals can indeed be frustrating, especially when it leads to further digestive issues like heartburn or sickness. In your case, the puffed rice in muesli might contribute to bloating because it could aggravate vata dosha, which tends to cause digestive disturbances like gas or bloating. Vata imbalance is often connected with irregular digestion, leading to symptoms like the ones you’ve been noticing.

First, you might consider reducing or temporarily eliminating puffed rice from your diet to see if your symptoms improve. Instead, try incorporating easily digestible grains like cooked oats or rice, which are more calming to vata. Cooking your grains properly can make a big difference in how they’re digested.

Your recent period of sickness, diarrhea, and heartburn suggests a possible imbalance in pitta dosha as well. Pitta, when aggravated, can cause inflammatory responses, including heartburn. To pacify pitta, it’s important to avoid overly spicy, sour, or acidic foods. Opt for cooling foods like cucumbers, cilantro, and leafy greens to help soothe your system.

The raw milk and dairy products you’ve mentioned can be nourishing, but they may also be challenging to digest if your agni, or digestive fire, is weak. Try consuming them in moderation and always room temperature or warmed, potentially with a pinch of turmeric or ginger to aid digestion.

A warm ginger tea can help stimulate digestion and balance vata and pitta. Drink ginger tea 20-30 minutes before meals. Also, aim to eat meals at regular times, sitting calmly without distractions, to aid digestive processes.

If symptoms persist or worsen, it might be wise to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider who can provide more detailed guidance tailored to your unique constitution and symptoms.
