Persistent Knee Pain Radiating to Thigh and Calf - #38255

Name: Vinod Age: 21 years Sex: Male Occupation : 2nd yr BAMS student Chief Complaint Pain in left knee joint since June 2025, later radiating to thigh and calf muscles. History of Present Illness Pain started gradually in June 2025 after getting up from an Indian toilet (deep squatting posture). Initially, pain was localized to the left knee joint, mainly felt while extending the knee after flexion. No swelling, stiffness, or trauma. Crepitus was noted in the knee. Treatment History and Progression: 1. Took Amrutadi Guggulu for 7 days → no relief. 2. Took Yogaraj Guggulu for 4 days → no improvement. 3. Later took Tendomac, Omnacortil, Ultracet, and Omeprazole → Knee pain reduced markedly. Crepitus decreased and pain while rising from squatting improved. 4. After this course, pain began radiating: Mainly to the anterior lower half of the thigh, Slightly to the posterior thigh, Extending up to the upper half of the posterior calf. 5. Pain is persistent throughout the day, present even at rest or sitting, and worsens with standing or walking. 6. No numbness, tingling, weakness, or swelling. Past Medical History Known case of IBS-C (Irritable Bowel Syndrome – Constipation predominant). Had incomplete evacuation for about 1.5 years. Diagnosed as IBS C in July 2025. After taking modern medications, bowel movements became significantly regular and symptoms improved by ~80%. Occasionally experiences mild incomplete evacuation, but very rare compared to before. Present Condition Knee pain: Improved. Current pain: Deep, dull, radiating from anterior thigh to upper calf, constant throughout the day. Aggravating factors: Standing, walking, prolonged posture.
