To address your bowel issues from an Ayurvedic perspective, it’s crucial to understand the underlying imbalance in your doshas and agni (digestive fire). For your condition of loose stools, initially with blood and mucus, Vata and Pitta imbalances could be playing a role. These imbalances lead to digestive disturbances, and altering your lifestyle and diet alongside your medication is essential.
The medications you mentioned have varying roles. Indukantham Kashayam tablets are typically used to boost immunity and digestive strength, but they are not directly targeted at loose stools. Livocure tablets focus on liver support, which indirectly aids digestion. Eastalcer tablets and Alcerwin might help in reducing acidity, while GasAswath is likely aimed at reducing gas and bloating. Stop IBS tablet is directly intended for irregular bowel movement, so it suits your current symptoms. Kanchanar Guggulu is more traditionally used for thyroid issues and lymphatic health rather than gastrointestinal health, indicating it might not be essential for your current symptoms. Kazharchi Chooranam, less commonly known, should be evaluated more closely for its benefits.
Diet is very important here. Avoid spicy, sour, and heavy foods that could aggravate Pitta and Vata. Opt for easily digestible foods like cooked rice, moong dal, and stewed apples. Curd rice might also help soothe your bowels, especially taking it at lunch. Stay hydrated but avoid too much cold water, as it can weaken your digestion.
It’s advisable to review these medications with your ayurvedic doctor. You might need a more focused strategy with limited medications, ensuring they’re aligned with your primary issues. If symptoms worsen, please seek immediate medical attention as an integrated approach can be necessary.
Thank you for your message so should I have to discontinue the kanchanar guggulu and kazharachi chooranam. I am also taking Mebarid tablet which was also prescribed.
