Yograj Guggul is an excellent start, still, it may not be enough on its own to manage plantar fasciitis effectively. Consider incorporating several aspects of Ayurveda to better address this condition. Next, focus on balancing your Vata dosha, as it often contributes to this type of pain. Start with Ashwagandha powder - take 1 teaspoon with warm milk daily in the evening. It helps to reduce inflammation and strengthen the tissues.
Look into diet modification, favoring warm, moist foods to balance Vata. Include ghee in your diet as it aids in lubrication of the joints and reduces dryness. Turmeric and ginger are beneficial too, as they possess anti-inflammatory properties. Add a pinch of turmeric in your milk or meals and integrate fresh ginger into soups or teas.
Herbal oil application can provide relief. Apply warm sesame or Mahanarayan oil to the affected area daily, massaging gently. Follow up with a warm compress to enhance absorption. Make sure to do this once or twice daily, ideally before going to bed or early in the morning.
Exercise consistency with caution. Regular stretching exercises for the calf muscles and plantar fascia, such as rolling a tennis ball under your foot, can promote healing over time. However, avoid excessive impact on your feet. Walking barefoot for extended periods might stress the fascia, so use supportive footwear.
Finally, consider consulting with a certified Ayurveda practitioner for a tailored panchakarma treatment, specifically designed for Vata disorders. A personalized detox may help reset your body’s balance and promote long-lasting relief. Addressing the root cause with appropriate regimen and consistency in following these steps can make a significant difference in your condition.
