Functional gastric dysmotility in Ayurveda is usually viewed as Agnimandya (low digestive fire) with Vata aggravation.
Internal medicines-
1. Hingvastak Churna • Dose: 250 mg (¼ tsp) • Route: Oral • Anupana: Warm water • Frequency: Twice daily • Time: After meals
2. Avipattikar Churna • Dose: 3 g (½ tsp) • Route: Oral • Anupana: Warm water • Frequency: Once daily • Time: At bedtime
3. Triphala Churna (if constipation present) • Dose: 3 g (½ tsp) • Route: Oral • Anupana: Warm water • Frequency: Once daily • Time: At bedtime
4. Ajwain–Saunf Kashaya (Decoction) • Ingredients: Ajwain 2 g + Fennel 2 g • Dose: 100 ml • Frequency: Once or twice daily • Time: After meals or during bloating
Pathya • Small, warm, easily digestible meals • Avoid cold, raw, fried, fermented foods • No fasting or skipping meals
Duration 14–21 days, reassess thereafter.
