Persistent white sputum and breathlessness can happen in airway stenosis because mucus drainage becomes poor and secretions get trapped behind the narrowed airway. Collapse of the right lung also reduces proper clearance of mucus. Since this is ongoing for months, you should stay under care of a pulmonologist because sometimes bronchoscopy, airway dilation, stenting, chest physiotherapy, or mucus clearance therapy may be needed. Sitopaladi Churna – 3 gm with honey twice daily after food. Talisadi Churna – 2 gm twice daily with warm water. Vasavaleha – 1 tsp twice daily after meals. Agastya Haritaki Rasayana – 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water. Steam inhalation with plain hot water 2 times daily. Drink warm water frequently and avoid cold items, curd at night, refrigerated foods, smoking, dust exposure. If cough increases, fever develops, sputum becomes yellow/green/bloody, oxygen falls, or breathlessness worsens, seek urgent medical evaluation because blocked mucus can lead to recurrent infection in collapsed lung areas. Useful supportive breathing practice Gentle pranayama like Anulom Vilom only if comfortable and without strain.
According to Ayurveda, your symptoms suggest an imbalance of Kapha dosha affecting the lungs and respiratory channels, causing excess mucus accumulation and blockage of airflow. The airway narrowing may be preventing proper drainage of phlegm, leading to cough and breathlessness, especially in the morning. Avoid cold foods, dust, smoke, and heavy dairy products. Warm water, steam inhalation, light digestion-friendly food, and Ayurvedic therapies for Kapha reduction and airway cleansing may help. —Oral Medicines 1) Kantakari churn – 3gm with Luke warm water, twice daily after food 2) Vasavaleha – 5 g, twice daily after food 3) Sitopaladi Churna – 1 tsp with honey, twice daily 4) Shwaskuthar Rasa – 1 tablet, twice daily after food (with honey or ginger juice ) — 2.
