Vasarishta can sometimes be used along with allopathic medicines, but in an elderly patient with heart disease, lung infection, oxygen support, and multiple medicines, it should be used cautiously and only under supervision. Simple supportive dose: 10–15 ml with equal warm water after meals, once or twice daily Avoid if patient has uncontrolled diabetes or severe acidity. Monitor for loose motions, stomach irritation, or worsening weakness. Keep at least 1–2 hours gap from allopathic medicines. Do not stop prescribed heart/lung medicines. For chronic cough and weakness, gentle supportive Ayurvedic options sometimes used are: Sitopaladi Churna 1/2 tsp with honey twice daily Agastya Haritaki 1 tsp at night
