Dear Rashmi, I understand your concern. When sleep is disturbed and overthinking becomes constant, it affects daily life deeply. Based on your history of Vata imbalance and mandagni, along with symptoms like irritation, light sleep, stress and depression, it suggests that Vata is still aggravated at the mental level. Even though you are doing yoga, pranayama, meditation and exercise, sometimes excessive physical activity like running 2.5 km daily can further increase Vata and disturb sleep. For now, reduce intense exercise. Prefer gentle walking and mild yoga. Your nervous system needs calming and nourishment. For better sleep, you may try: Warm milk with a small pinch of nutmeg at night. Applying warm sesame oil to the soles before bed. Avoiding screens one hour before sleep. Practicing slow Bhramari pranayama for a few minutes at night. Sleeping before 10:30 pm regularly. Since you mentioned mandagni, digestion must also be corrected: Take a small piece of ginger with a pinch of rock salt before lunch. Avoid cold, dry and raw foods. Prefer warm, freshly cooked meals with a little ghee. Daily Anutaila nasya may not be required continuously without reassessment. Sometimes internal oleation and proper medhya support are more beneficial. This condition is not permanent, but it requires proper individualized assessment. Instead of adding more practices, you need the right correction according to your present imbalance. I would suggest taking a proper consultation so that your sleep and stress can be managed in a structured and personalised way. With correct guidance, improvement is definitely possible.

I understand your difficulty. When sleep reduces and overthinking becomes constant, it affects emotional balance and daily functioning. From your history of Vata imbalance and mandagni, along with present symptoms like light sleep, irritation, stress and depressive thoughts, this indicates that Vata is aggravated at the level of the nervous system and mind. Even though you are doing yoga, pranayama, meditation and exercise, running 2.5 km daily and intense workouts may actually increase Vata further at this stage. When Vata is high, the body needs grounding and nourishment more than stimulation. First, reduce intense exercise for a few weeks. Shift to gentle walking and mild stretching. Avoid overexertion. For improving sleep: Drink warm milk with a small pinch of nutmeg at night. Apply warm sesame oil to soles and gently to the scalp before sleep. Practice slow Bhramari pranayama for 5–10 minutes at night. Avoid screens and mental stimulation one hour before bed. Try to sleep before 10:30 pm regularly. Since mandagni is present, digestion correction is essential: Take a small piece of ginger with a pinch of rock salt before lunch. Avoid cold, dry and raw foods. Prefer warm, freshly prepared, slightly unctuous meals. Maintain fixed meal timings. Daily Anutaila nasya may not be required continuously without reassessment. Sometimes internal nourishment and proper medhya support are more important than continuing the same routine. Regarding permanent cure, sleep and stress disorders are usually corrected by balancing Vata, improving digestion and strengthening the nervous system gradually. With the right approach, deep and stable improvement is possible. Since your stress level is extreme and persistent, I strongly suggest a proper consultation. Your prakriti, current imbalance, bowel pattern, appetite and mental state need to be assessed in detail. Based on that, a structured and personalised treatment plan can be given for better and long-term results. With correct guidance, this condition can definitely improve.

In case of mental conditions you can fight over it only if you are willing to. ??? Anulomvilom and Bhramari Pranayam will help. But you have to do it early in the morning only. ? Donot get yourself into any addictions. ? Donot drink tea or coffee or aerated drinks. ? Reduce screen time… No screen in darkness and 1 hour before you sleep. Consume audio form of data rather than visuals before you sleep. Filter the content of data you consume… Let it be spiritual or positive… ?? Drink a glass of buffalo milk daily before you sleep; it will help you get a sound sleep. ?? 100 steps after both meals are must. ?? Eat only home cooked food… Avoid outside food, packed and processed food. ?? Prefer natural liquids like fruit juice, coconut water, lemon juice, kokum sharbat over packed ones. ?? Medication: ?? Panchendriya Vardhan Tailam 2 drops in each nostril early in the morning empty stomach. Cap. Memorin(S.G.Phytopharma) 2 caps twice a day before food. Syp. Prasham 4 tsp at bed time with lukewarm water. Tab. Manasmitra Vatak 2 tabs at bed time

Medicines (Ayurvedic – commonly used) Ashwagandha churna / tablets – strengthens nerves Brahmi vati – reduces overthinking Saraswatarishta – helpful for anxiety and memory Tagar (Valeriana wallichii) – natural sleep support Jatamansi churna – calming effect These help stabilize Vata and the mind. Diet for Vata + Mandagni Avoid/Apathya: Dry food Excess salads Cold drinks Excess tea/coffee Prefer/Pathya: Warm, freshly cooked food Ghee Khichdi Soups Almonds soaked overnight do Nasya Since you already use Anu taila, continue but not at night. Use morning only. For sleep issues sometimes ghee nasya at night is advised, but only under supervision. Mental Detox Overthinking increases when the mind has no “closure”. Before sleep try: Write down thoughts in a notebook 10 minutes Yoga Nidra or Bhramari pranayama Avoid mobile/bright screen 1 hour before sleep. ✅ Important: Your symptoms suggest Vata in the nervous system, which usually improves with proper rasayana + oil therapies + calming routine. With correct treatment many patients improve in 3–6 weeks.

HI dear, thank you for describing all the ways you are trying. so i want to tell you about a different approach. Are you sure the procedure you have undergone is vasti? because you are talking about medicine administration through nostrill. You are probably talking about nasya. Can you please tell me what medicine was used for this procedure? performing any panchakarma procedures in state of diminished agni will not give desired results, so don’t go for nasya again so soon. we need to handle your case in multiple stages. the 1st stage definitely is changing your lifestyle a bit. walking and excercising this much will only increase your vata dosha further and the agni disturbance you are facing now is probably vishamagni caused by excessive vata dosha. so at 1st we need to find ways to handle vata dosha. lets stop these intensive workout and excersise for now. continue meditations, suryanamaskara, chandra bhedana pranayama, seetali and seetkari pranayama will suit you best. bhramari pranayama is also very good during stress ful episodes. next take *1 tspoon of brahmi ghrta in the morning, on empty stomach mixed with 1/2 tspoon hinguashtak choorna. * kalyanakam kashayam 15ml twice daily before food mixed with 60 ml luke warm water *manasamitra vataka 2 tablets twice daily, morning empty stomach and at bedtime *saraswatarishta 30 ml twice daily after food *take 1 glass of buffalo milk at bedtime * use brahmi taila for head massage and head oiling evey day before sleep. use same oil to do foot massage for atleast 15 minutes every day at bedtime continue this for 2 weeks then along with these medications start ksheerala 101 A drops instillation in nose 2 drops each every 2 hours. continue pranayama. following these will give you results if you use these regularly. if you are going through something mentally and you need to talk you can reach out to a therapist or me personally. also it is necessory to perform some investigations likeCBC,VITB12,VITD,SERUM CALCIUM,FBS AND SODIUM POTASSIUM levels if you havent done so yet. please reachout every 2 weeks and keep me updated. hope you get well soon

1.Manasmithra vatkam 1 tab twice daily with milk after meals 2.Ashwagandha capsules 1 cap twice daily with milk after meals 3.Tagara tablets 1 tab at bedtime with water 4.Saraswatarishta 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals Lifestyle & Diet Adjustments— - Avoid stimulants: Tea, coffee, spicy foods, late-night meals. - Favor grounding foods: Warm milk, ghee, soups, khichdi, root vegetables. - Bedtime routine: Warm milk with nutmeg (jaiphal) or turmeric; dim lights, avoid screens. - Reduce intense exercise: Running 2.5 km daily may aggravate Vata. Switch to gentle yoga, walking, or restorative practices. - Pranayama focus: Sheetali, Bhramari, and Nadi Shodhana are more calming than vigorous breathing.

HELLO, With vata prakopa + Manda agni + long term stress + the insomnia and overthinking you’re describing are classic signs of Vata aggravation in manovaha srotas (nervous system involvement) Since your stress is extreme and constant, this is now beyond simple routine correction. We need systematic vata-manas chikitsa, not just yoga and nasya AYURVEDIC VIEW You likely have -vata vriddhi especially prana and vyana vata -manda agni -rasa dhatu kshaya -possible tarpaka kapha depletion causes poor sleep -mental rajas aggravation->overthinking, irritability Running daily + excessive activity can worsen vata in this stage FIRST IMPORTANT CORRECTION Stop or reduce -daily 2.5 km running replace with slow walking -excess pranayam like kapalbhati/bhastrika (if doing) -excess fasting or light diet -screen exposure after sunset Your system needs grounding and nourishment, not stimulation AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT 1) AGNI DEEPANA + VATA SHAMANA (first 2-3 weeks) Because Manda agni is present, do NOT jump to heavy rasayanas immediately MORNING EMPTY STOMACH -warm water + 5 drops lemon -after 20 min= 2 gm dry ginger powder + ghee + small jaggery if no acidity BEFORE LUNCH -small piece fresh ginger + rock salt AFTER LUNCH -Jeerakadi churna= 1/2 tsp in warm water DIET -warm, soft, slightly oily food -moong dal khichdi with ghee -avoid dry food, salads, millet excess, cold food MAIN TREATMENT FOR INSOMNIA + OVERTHINKING NIGHT PROTOCOL VERY IMPORTANT 1 hour before bed -warm cow milk + 1/2 tsp ashwagandha churna + pinch nutmeg + 1 tsp ghee OR -Ksheera bala 101 - 10drops in warm milk FOOT OIL MASSAE -warm sesame oil -massage soles for 10 minutes -then wipe with warm cloth HEAD OIL MASSAGE -3-4 times per week with Brahmi taila NASYA= Important adjustment Dailyy Anu taila may be too drying in vata condition if overused REDUCE TO -2-3 times per week only -2 drops each nostril -do NOT do at night If dryness present-> switch to ghee nasya (2 drops warm cow ghee) 4) MEDHYA RASAYANA After 2-3 weeks of Agni correction -Brahmi ghrita= 1/4 tsp empty stomach -Saraswatarishta= 10 ml+ equal water after lunch FOR SEVERE CASE -Manasmitra vatakam= 1 tab at night LIFESTYLE CORRECTION MOST IMPORTANT You are trying too hard to fix yourself That itself increases vata DO -sleep before 10 pm even if not sleeply -No phone after9 Pm -slow evening walk only -reduce intense exercise by 50% -stop analysing your sleep FOR DEPRESSION AND SEVERE OVERTHINKING If thoughts are uncontrollable -Tagara capsule= 1 cap at bedtime These calm prana vata deeply ABOUT PERMANENT CURE Yes- vata disorders can be corrected but -It takes 3-6 months -Requires consistency -requires nourishing approach -excess self effort must stop Your nervous system is in fight mode We must move it to rest mode DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU

1. Take 2 tablets of Manasamitra Vatakam in milk at night 2. Pada abhyanga with Ksheerabala taila. Take some oil just do massage of foot including soles for 10 min. ( videos of 10 steps of pada abhyanga are available in youtube you may refer ) - 3 hrs before you sleep 3. Take 10g of Panchagandha churna add with sufficient quantity of Murchitha tila taila to make a thick paste and then apply it over the head i.e. on the bregma area and then sit and relax completely for 45minutes. After that wipe off with a cloth. Then rub Kachuradi churna and for an hour. Do this just 1hr 45minutes before you go to bed. While you practicing every thing try to know you. Just Self Love. Do things which makes you happy instead of doing something for a sake of something or someone else. Try to know you and your mind while practicing all especially pranayama and meditation try to involve completely by knowning your own breath. By doing so all your problem of disturbed sleep and aversion to food will gradually come to normalcy. Always try to find happinness in what you do.

Namaste, Since you are unable to sleep deeply and feel overthinking and stress, it shows your Vata is a bit aggravated. Even with yoga, walking, and nasya, sometimes deeper relaxation takes time. Simple steps you can try: Have a light, warm dinner at least 2–3 hours before sleep. Drink warm milk with a pinch of turmeric or ashwagandha at night if digestible. Avoid screens and bright lights 1 hour before bed. Try 5–10 minutes of slow breathing or meditation lying down. Keep a regular sleep schedule, sleeping and waking at same time daily. Sometimes mild herbal support or gentle Ayurveda therapies can help improve sleep and calm the mind. If sleep doesn’t improve, a proper consultation can help identify exact causes and give a personalised plan to improve deep sleep and reduce overthinking.
