What Does Fundal Height Really Tell About My Pregnancy, and Should I Be Worried? - #15525

At my last prenatal check-up, my doctor measured my fundal height and said it was slightly behind what it should be for my gestational age. I was 28 weeks at the time, but my fundal height measured closer to 26 weeks. She didn’t seem overly concerned but said she’d keep an eye on it at my next visit. Now I can’t stop worrying—does this mean my baby isn’t growing properly? I’ve been reading up on fundal height, and it seems like it’s supposed to be a good indicator of fetal growth, but I’ve also seen that it’s not always 100% accurate. Some people say their fundal height was off, but their baby was completely healthy. Others said their doctor caught a growth issue early because of it. Now I don’t know what to think. I haven’t had any major complications during pregnancy so far. My ultrasounds have been normal, and my baby moves a lot, so that reassures me a little. But I do have a smaller frame, and I wonder if that’s affecting my fundal height measurement. I’ve also been stressed a lot lately and haven’t had much of an appetite, so now I’m overthinking whether I’m somehow causing this. Are there natural ways to support fetal growth if fundal height is measuring behind? Can Ayurvedic remedies help improve nutrition and ensure the baby is growing well?
