I’m currently pregnant with my second child, and during my recent ultrasound, the doctor mentioned that I have IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction). I had never heard of it before, so I was really worried. The doctor explained that it means my baby isn’t growing as expected for the gestational age, and they said it could be caused by a number of things, like placental issues or problems with my blood flow. I’ve been feeling a bit anxious about it because I don’t want anything bad to happen to my baby. I’ve been doing everything I can to stay healthy, eating well, and following all the guidelines, but still, the idea of IUGR is scary. Since I’ve been really into natural health practices, I started looking up alternatives to help my baby grow better, and I came across Ayurveda. I read that Ayurveda can offer support for a variety of pregnancy-related issues and can help improve circulation and overall health. But I’m not sure how Ayurveda can address IUGR specifically. Can Ayurvedic treatments help improve blood flow or nutrient delivery to the baby in cases of IUGR? I’ve heard of herbs like ashwagandha and shatavari being beneficial for pregnancy, but I’m unsure if they are safe or effective for treating IUGR.
