Greetings Dear Sir/Madam: I have been suffering from anxiety and mild depression symptoms like: Low mood, low and weak sleep, High in tension, worry on small thing, in hurry, high heart beet, low energy and always tired. As I am out of India, and in my area I do not have access to standardized form of aruvedic medicine and professional dr. In aruvedic field, therefore I request your kind help to prescribe me some herbal to be findable in public and local aruvedic store so that I use it to treat my conditions. Kindly let know the medicine list, dosage and the method of its formation to best work for my situation. Thanks a lot for your kind help in advance. Ms. Zarmina Rahimi

2. Brahmi Vati – 1 tablet twice daily

3. Ksheerbala Oil – For regular head massage

Anulom Vilom and Bhramari Pranayama – Practice regularly for calming the mind and balancing energy.

For symptoms of anxiety and mild depression, there’s a holistic approach in Ayurveda that focuses on balancing the doshas, particularly Vata, which often goes out of balance in these conditions. Start with Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), a well-known adaptogen that promotes calmness and reduces stress. You may be able to find it in local health stores. Take 500 mg to 1 gram of Ashwagandha powder twice daily with warm milk or water. It helps in stabilizing mood and enhancing sleep quality. Also, Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is beneficial for cognitive function and reducing anxiety. You can take 250-500 mg of Brahmi, preferrably in powder form, with honey in the morning.

In terms of lifestyle, try to incorporate a regular routine. Wake up and go to bed at the same times each day to help regulate your body clock. Practice deep breathing exercises or meditation daily—just 10-15 minutes can make a significant difference. Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, is particularly recommended for calming the mind and balancing prana (life energy).

Engage in moderate exercise, such as walking or yoga, which can improve your energy levels and mood. Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) is great for this, ideally practiced in the morning. Avoid caffeine and sugar, as these can exacerbate anxiety symptoms.

Dietary changes can also support your recovery. Focus on warm, cooked meals. Include grounding foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, and spinach. Consider a simple kitchari diet a few days a week—it’s a comforting mix of rice and mung dal that helps in detoxifying the body and balancing doshas.

Finally, ensure you’re managing your agni (digestive fire). Warm water with a slice of fresh ginger before meals can enhance digestion and nutrient absorption, reducing fatigue and increasing vitality. It’s important, however, to consult a healthcare professional if your symptoms worsen or persist, to ensure comprehensive care.
