How to reduce insomnia - #21417

My name is Narendra from andhra pradesh I am suffering from low back pain, side right hip pain, back middle pain, left knee pain right knee pain, two back ankle pain, left hip joint pain and I am not getting sleep last three months don't know what to do all blood sample are showing normal from last week urine also burning so, sir/madam please give any solution

Your symptoms suggest a possible Vata imbalance, which can contribute to pain and sleeplessness. These types of imbalances often arise from stress, irregular routines, or diet that aggravates Vata.

First, let’s address your pain. Regular application of warm sesame oil on the affected areas can alleviate joint and muscle pain. Massage gently before a warm bath, especially focusing on the areas causing discomfort. Sesame oil is warming and grounding, helpful for settling Vata.

For your urine burning, increasing your water intake is vital. You can infuse your water with cooling herbs like coriander seeds or fennel seeds. Boil two teaspoons of either seed in a liter of water, straining it, and sip throughout the day.

To improve sleep, create a consistent routine. Start with a calming bedtime routine; turn off electronics an hour before bed, and engage in relaxing activities such as reading or light yoga. Drinking warm almond milk spiced with nutmeg and a pinch of cardamom before sleep can be calming.

Diet also plays a crucial role, as Vata thrives on warm, moist and nourishing foods. Focus on cooked vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats like ghee. Avoid cold, raw, or dry foods that can aggravate Vata.

Pranayama (breathing exercises) can help reduce stress and Vata balance. Try alternate nostril breathing for 10-15 minutes a day. This is soothing and stabilizes the nervous system.
