Hello VSR,

I understand your concern. Spotting for one month followed by prolonged heavy bleeding with clots after hormonal & fertility medicines is common, especially in women with PCOS. But dont worry we are here to help you out🙂

✅PROBABLE CAUSES -

👉PCOS + hormone imbalance ➡️irregular ovulation ➡️endometrium grows thick ➡️ later sheds with heavy flow & clots.

👉Stopping progesterone abruptly will lead to sudden withdrawal bleed (heavy).

✅ AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION -

1. M2 Tone Tablet

☑️Yes, you can start M2 Tone (Charak Pharmacy ). It helps regulate cycles, reduce spotting & heavy bleeding, and correct hormonal imbalance.

Dose: 1 -0-1 tablet twice daily after food with lukewarm water (for at least 3 months).

2. Additional Remedies

1 Ashokarishta – 30 ml -0-30ml with equal water after lunch & dinner (reduces heavy bleeding, balances hormones).

2 Praval Pishti + Mukta Shukti Bhasma both 1 pinch with luke warm water – helps control excess Pitta & bleeding.

3 Sathavari kalpa 1 tsp at bed time follwed by warm water ( Regulates cycle)

✅ DIET AND LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION

❌Avoid spicy, oily, junk, and very hot foods they aggravate bleeding. Avoid having reheated food

✅Include pomegranate, guava, apples, moong dal, buttermilk.

👉Practice gentle yoga Baddha Konasana, Setu Bandhasana, Shavasana.

👉Reduce stress, maintain sleep routine.

👉Jeera + Dhaniya + Saunf water (boiled & cooled) – drink as regular water to reduce clots & regulate flow.

❗IMPORTANT

✔️If bleeding is so heavy that you soak more than 3–4 pads in 2 hours,

✔️If you feel severe weakness, dizziness, or breathlessness,

✔️If clots are very large & continuous, 👉 You must immediately consult a Ayurvedic gynecologist

Ayurveda has safe long-term solutions for PCOS-related irregular bleeding. Starting M2 Tone with supportive diet and lifestyle is a good step.

Wish you a Good health😊

Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Chronicles of hormonal shifts, particularly with the use of fertility medications, can confound bodily rhythms significantly. The pattern you’ve described involves initial spotting, the intervention of allopathic hormone treatments, and subsequently prolonged heavy flow. From an Ayurvedic perspective, this cascading effect translates to an imbalance in the doshas, notably Vata and Pitta, with an aggravated Apana Vata (the Ayurvedic subdosha governing downward flow and elimination processes).

Firstly, it’s crucial to address that heavy bleeding and fever might indicate inflammation or infection; thus, continue liaising with your modern medicine doctor. If bleeding persists or worsens, urgent medical attention may be necessary.

In the realm of Ayurveda, we aim for balance by harmonizing Vata and Pitta. Everything you consume or practice must gently guide your system toward steadiness. While M2 Tone can be supportive in regulating the menstrual cycle by balancing hormones, check with your practitioner to ensure compatibility with your body’s needs.

Dietary changes could help; embrace warm, easy-to-digest foods. Consider khichdi (a mixture of rice and lentils) with mild spices - cumin, coriander, fennel to alleviate Doshic imbalances. Also, try to avoid processed foods, cold beverages, sugar, heavy-to-digest items, which can aggravate Vata and Pitta.

In terms of lifestyle, set a routine. Go to bed and wake up at the same time consistently, employ gentle yoga or pranayama. Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) can soothe your nerves.

For a herbal approach, Shatavari, renowned for its efficacy in regulating menses and balancing hormones, can be beneficial. Use under guidance to ensure suitability for your constitution. Additionally, Ashokarishta, an Ayurvedic tonic, may support uterine health, yet take it cautiously as per advice of an Ayurvedic physician.

Remain mindful that each body is unique, and while Ayurveda thrives on personalized treatment, persistent symptoms may warrant modern medical intervention. Always follow up with your healthcare provider.

It’s crucial to recognize that your current symptoms indicate a significant imbalance, possibly exacerbated by your recent medication changes and the antibiotics. Given your previous diagnosis of bilateral PCOS and your decision to stop hormonal medication, handling this naturally requires a careful approach.

Firstly, resolving the root issue of PCOS needs to address the imbalances within your doshas, mainly kapha and vata, which may be contributing to irregular menstrual cycles and clotting. It’s also vital to manage stress levels, which can disturb your hormonal pathways further, causing spotting and prolonged periods.

Considering M2 Tone, it’s widely used in the Ayurvedic context to help regulate menstrual cycles naturally. You could start with one to two tablets twice a day, preferably after meals, alongside some specific lifestyle changes. However, it would be wise to consult an Ayurveda practitioner before beginning the course, as they can tailor the recommendations to your unique constitution (prakriti).

Moreover, nourishing your reproductive system and improving your digestion is essential. Eating a diet rich in warm, cooked foods with spices like turmeric and ginger can enhance your agni (digestive fire) and balance your hormones naturally. Take care to include sesame seeds and almond milk, which are beneficial for PCOS and support healthy menstrual flow and regularity.

It’s important to keep your body warm and calm your nadis (energy channels). Practicing gentle yoga or pranayama can help in balancing vata and bring tranquility to your system. Ensure you have regular sleep cycles to support natural hormonal rhythms.

Since your bleeding is significantly heavy and accompanied by clots, persistent issues like this can lead to anemia and other health complications. Immediate consultation with a gynecologist or healthcare provider is advisable if the heavy flow continues, especially if accompanied by symptoms like dizziness or fatigue.
