PCOD, don’t get periods without medication. - #30492

I don’t get periods without medication. I’ve missed periods for over 5 months now. I was taking Patanjali medicines for sometime, felt some cramps in stomach and back pain also for about a week. However, I still couldn’t menstruate. Please tell me which medicine should I take to get periods and regulate my cycle.

Avoid oily, spicy and processed foods. Regular exercise. Increase intake of raw vegetables and fruits. Sy. M2 tone 15ml twice Tab. Aloes compound 2-0-2 At least for 12weeks

If you’re experiencing infrequent periods or they’ve stopped entirely for several months, especially without medication, it’s essential to first understand the underlying cause. In Ayurveda, irregular menstruation often relates to an imbalance in vata dosha, which governs movement in the body, or it may involve kapha and pitta doshas. When it comes to treatment, Ayurveda aims to restore balance to the doshas and support the body’s natural processes.

A few effective Ayurvedic remedies can help. Ashoka (Saraca indica) is a prime herb for addressing menstrual irregularities. It is known to pacify the pitta dosha and promote healthy menstruation. Take Ashoka in the form of churna or decoction, typically about a quarter to half teaspoon, twice a day. You can take it with warm water or milk for enhanced effects.

Another remedy is Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), which nourishes and strengthens the reproductive system. Take 1-2 teaspoons (around 3-6 grams) of Shatavari powder daily with warm milk.

Consider including Aloe vera juice or Gel in your daily routine. Aloe supports liver function and helps regulate menstrual cycles. Drink a tablespoon before breakfast.

Incorporating a warm and nurturing lifestyle can assist too. Apply warm sesame oil to the lower abdomen and massage gently, which can help balance vata dosha. Practice yoga postures like Baddha Konasana and Supta Baddha Konasana, known to promote pelvic circulation.

Diet must include warm, cooked foods, emphasize whole grains, and nurture your digestive fire (agni). Avoid excessive cold, raw, or processed foods. Ensure that you maintain a regular eating schedule to harmonize your body’s rhythms.

Please note that severe or persistent symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. Ayurvedic treatments are complementary and sometimes adjustments are required based on individual constitution (prakriti) and specific symptoms.
