Hello Deepanshu, it is necessary to examine you properly before suggesting any medications or treatments. This is Vata dominant disorder and there is involvement of the Agni or the digestive system too. There are many internal and external treatments in Ayurveda that can prove beneficial for you but without proper examination it would not be ideal to mention anything. Apart from that maintain a moderately active lifestyle and avoid over exertion of the body and mind as well. Restorative pranayam and yogic practices are very beneficial. Full body self massage with Mahanarayan oil will be a good start to pacify the Vata and improve muscle bulk. How is your appetite & digestion in general?

In general digestion is good

For managing epilepsy along with your goal of improving weight and physical strength, Ayurveda can offer supportive therapies to complement your current treatment with Valprol. Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) and Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi) are two herbs known for their calming effects on the nervous system and can support neurological health. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are beneficial for enhancing strength, stamina, and healthy weight gain, helping to nourish tissues and improve muscle tone. Saraswatharishtam or Kalyanaka Ghrita (medicated ghee) may also aid in nervous system support and physical vitality; however, these should be taken under professional guidance due to their potency.

Since exercise tends to trigger seizures for you, start with light activities like yoga and Pranayama (breathing exercises), focusing on calming asanas such as Sukhasana (Easy Pose), Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose), and gentle stretches to build stamina gradually. Abhyanga (self-massage with warm sesame oil) can improve circulation, muscle tone, and relaxation, promoting both physical and mental stability.

For a more personalized approach, it would be helpful to understand your daily diet, lifestyle, and any specific triggers. Additionally, monitoring with your neurologist for any changes in symptoms is essential while incorporating Ayurvedic treatments.

Epilepsy, it can be a rough journey, and thank you for sharing. Let’s dive into how Ayurveda can lend a hand alongside what you’re already doing with valprol. In Ayurveda, epilepsy is known as “Apasmara”, typically linked to imbalances in the vata dosha, you know, that’s that airy element which can disturb the mind clarity, causing them seizures.

First off, super important - you gotta keep working close with your healthcare provider. We ain’t looking to replace any critical treatment meds here. But hey, some diet and lifestyle tweaks might just offer a lil’ balance and could help with the weight issue too.

For weight gain, we wanna go for nourishing, vata-pacifying foods. Think warm, cooked meals - stuff like ghee, nuts, seeds, dense grains like quinoa or rice. Avoid cold, raw or dried stuff when you can. Meals need to be timed regular - this’ll help keep that digestive fire, or “agni”, working well. Oh and warm milk with a pinch of turmeric before bed can be soothing, might even help with spasm relief a bit.

Exercise, that’s a tricky bit with seizures, isn’t it? Yoga could be your best buddy here, focusing on calming postures like Cat-cow or Child’s pose. Pranayama, especially Nadi Shodhana, can calm that nervous system too. Just keep it light, no need for hardcore sweat sessions.

Herbs like Brahmi or Vacha might have some calming effect but, please, chat with your doc before going that route cause, interactions with meds are a thing, ya know?

If stress is a trigger, daily routines (dinacharya) can be grounding. Start with oil massages (abhyanga) - sesame oil works nicely, just warm it up a tad before applying.

And remember, mind-body is a combo we can’t ignore. Meditation or even listening to calming music daily could ease anxiety. It’s about creating peace, in the body and mind.

Overall, think gentle and nourishing in every step. And make sure you stay connected with the professionals in your corner. Take care!
