Hello Reenu, I can understand your concern. The burning, numbness, and discomfort in your feet, mainly at night, can not only make your daily life miserable but also rob you of sleep. I understand that it must be very frustrating that even methylcobalamin does not relieve your symptoms.

This situation occurs when- - Vata dries and weakens nerve conduction - Pitta causes the burning sensation - Circulation to the extremities becomes very slow - Muscles and nerves that are not getting proper nourishment

The condition can be made better through Ayurveda even when vitamin supplements are ineffective.

✅ Why Symptoms Are Worse at Night According to Ayurveda night is a Vata dominant period which further aggravates: Numbness Tingling Burning Restlessness in legs

It is a typical example of Vata-predominant neuropathy.

✅AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATIION

1 Kaishore Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily (Reduces inflammation + improves circulation.)

2 Dhanvantaram 101 Capsules – 1 capsule at night with warm milk (Strengthens nerves & relieves numbness.)

3 Palsineuron 1-0-1 after food (Helps Pitta + nerve lining repair.)

4 Mahavatavidhwans Ras – 1 tablet once daily after food

✅ EXTERNAL CARE

1. Foot Abhyanga (oil massage) Perform it every night before sleep: Ksheerabala Taila Warm Massage soles + feet + toes with the oil for 5 minutes

2. Hot water foot soak Add: 1 tsp rock salt A few drops of sesame oil Use for 10 minutes every evening.

3. Apply this paste if the burning is quite severe Sandalwood powder + rose water Apply on feet for 10 minutes.

✅ DIET MODIFICATION

❌Avoid Sour foods (tomato, tamarind) Excess of spicy foods Tea/coffee at night Cold food and drinks Late dinners Prolonged empty stomach

☑️Include: Ghee (½ tsp twice a day) Milk with nutmeg at night Warm soups (moong, vegetable) Dates (2/day) Sesame seeds (1 tsp daily) Almonds soaked overnight (3–5/day)

✅HOME REMEDIES

1. Turmeric + Milk Night Drink 1 cup warm milk ½ tsp turmeric 1 pinch nutmeg Drink at bedtime → prevents burning & improves sleep.

2. Fenugreek water Soak 1 tsp methi seeds overnight Drink water in the morning – Reduces inflammation – Improves nerve circulation

3. Homemade medicated ghee Warm 1 tsp ghee + 1 pinch turmeric Massage on soles at night – Calms Vata – Reduces numbness

✅LIFESTYLE AND YOGA

Daily: Gentle foot stretches 15 minutes walking Yoga: Vajrasana, Tadasana Pranayama: Bhramari & Nadi Shodhana Do not sit for long periods

✅When to Consider Panchakarma After 2–3 months of treatment if symptoms remain, Panchakarma offers deeper results

Your ailment is entirely manageable through Ayurveda. As you had symptoms for over half a year and vitamins didn’t give relief, it shows that what is needed is nerve nourishment + Vata balancing therapy rather than just vitamin correction.

With the correct Ayurvedic drugs, oil treatments, and diet, you can make a great reduction in your condition in 4–8 weeks.

Warm regards, Dr Snehal ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Vidhate

Experiencing numbness and burning in your feet, especially at night, often relates to imbalances in Vata dosha. According to Ayurveda, an excess or imbalance in Vata can affect nerve function and circulation. Here are some detailed suggestions you can explore to manage and potentially alleviate these symptoms.

Start with dietary changes, which play a crucial role in balancing Vata. Favor warm, cooked foods seasoned with digestive spices such as ginger, cumin, coriander and a pinch of cinnamon. Avoid raw, cold foods and beverages, as well as caffeine, which can aggravate Vata.

Herbal remedies may also be helpful. Take Ashwagandha churna, about 1 teaspoon mixed with warm milk, twice a day. Ashwagandha is known to nourish and support the nervous system. Another beneficial herb is Jatamansi, which is calming for Vata dosha as well.

Oil massage, or Abhyanga, can be very effective in pacifying Vata. Use warm sesame oil to massage your feet every evening before bedtime. This not only improves circulation but also soothes the nervous system.

Incorporate yoga and gentle stretching into your routine to enhance blood flow and relieve nerve stress. Practices like pavanmuktasana (wind-releasing pose) and padahastasana (forward bend) can be integrated into your day.

It is also essential to maintain a regular sleep schedule. Create a night routine that winds down stress; perhaps a warm foot soak with Epsom salt to relax feet muscles.

However, if the symptoms persist or worsen, it’s crucial to consult a healthcare provider to further evaluate any possible underlying conditions requiring immediate medical attention. While Ayurveda supports ongoing health, ensuring there isn’t a more urgent health issue is always the priority.
