High testosterone levels and irregular menstrual cycles can be influenced by various factors in the body, often linked to an imbalance in kapha and vata doshas in Ayurveda. When approaching this, focusing on diet and lifestyle adjustments alongside specific Ayurvedic herbs can be quite beneficial.

Begin by incorporating a kapha-pacifying diet. Minimize intake of dairy, processed sugars, and fried foods, which can exacerbate imbalances. Focus instead on warm, freshly cooked meals with an emphasis on vegetables, whole grains like quinoa and brown rice, and proteins like lentils. Turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon should be included as they aid in improving metabolism and reducing inflammation. Ensure you consume meals at regular intervals to help stabilize vata.

Consider integrating specific herbs known in Ayurveda for hormonal balance. Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is recommended for its rejuvenating properties on the female reproductive system. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) can also support adrenal function and balance hormones. Use Shatavari in the form of powder (around 1 teaspoon) mixed with warm milk or water, twice a day, and consume Ashwagandha in capsule form (500 mg) once daily, ideally in the morning.

Daily exercise that encourages sweating, such as brisk walking or yoga, can help manage kapha dosha, which is often linked to hormonal imbalances. Avoid excessive exercise though as it might aggravate vata. Establishing a regular sleep schedule and managing stress through techniques such as pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation can further aid in regulating menstrual cycles.

It’s important, however, to monitor symptoms closely. If your condition persists or worsens, seek professional medical advice to rule out conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or other hormonal disorders that might require more specific interventions.

High testosterone levels and irregular periods often indicate an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Pitta and Vata. In the Siddha-Ayurvedic view, these imbalances can affect the reproductive system by disturbing the normal flow of energy (nadis) and the equilibrium in the sapta dhatus (seven tissue systems). A personalized approach to restoring balance is required.

First, dietary adjustments can help manage these symptoms. Incorporate foods that are cooling and soothing in nature to balance Pitta, such as cucumbers, melons, and bitter greens. Warm, oily, and easy-to-digest foods can pacify Vata, so consider including cooked grains like quinoa or rice, alongside root vegetables and ghee. Avoid spicy, sour, and overly salty foods, and try to minimize caffeine and processed sugars which can aggravate Pitta and Vata.

Herbs like Shatavari and Ashwagandha are traditionally used in Siddha-Ayurveda to support women’s reproductive health. Shatavari is particularly helpful for hormonal balance; you could take it as a powder mixed with warm milk, once in the evening. Ashwagandha, known for balancing Vata and enhancing vitality, can be consumed similarly or as a tablet.

Incorporate pranayama exercises to calm the mind and relax the nervous system, which helps in balancing Vata. Practices like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) can be particularly effective if done in the morning. Additionally, regularity in your daily routine, such as waking up and sleeping at the same time each day, assists in stabilizing Vata dosha.

It is vital to monitor these practices consistently, yet moderate changes won’t manifest immediately. If symptoms persist, they may indicate an underlying condition, and it would be wise to seek further consultation with a healthcare profesional who can provide a thorough examination and potentially necessary medical treatment.
