Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and irregular periods can be addressed effectively by bringing balance to the body’s doshas, focusing mostly on Kapha and Vata. While medications like Hyponidd can be helpful to some extent, Ayurveda places significant emphasis on lifestyle modification and diet.

First, with diet. Favor light, easy-to-digest foods that won’t aggravate Kapha. Opt for fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains like barley and quinoa, and legumes, except soy. Spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, and cinnamon, can aid digestion and metabolism. Avoid processed foods, excessive sugar, cold and fried foods, which can impede digestion and increase Kapha.
