AT YOUR AGE WITH THESE SYMPTOMS THE PROBLEM IS NOT JUST SIMPLE LEG WEAKNESS IT INDICATES LONG STANDING NERVE SIGNAL REDUCTION POOR CIRCULATION AND MUSCLE CONTROL LOSS FROM KNEE DOWNWARDS THIS IS WHY YOU FEEL AS IF THE BRAIN SIGNAL IS NOT REACHING THE LEGS AND WHY BALANCE IS POOR AND WALKING TIME IS VERY LIMITED THE DROWSY FEELING IN HEAD AND FATIGUE SUGGEST LOW NERVOUS ENERGY AND POOR BLOOD FLOW TO BOTH BRAIN AND LOWER LIMBS A SEDENTARY LIFESTYLE FURTHER WORSENS THIS CONDITION OVER TIME THIS CONDITION NEEDS NERVE NOURISHMENT MUSCLE STRENGTHENING AND CIRCULATION SUPPORT ALONG WITH GRADUAL MOVEMENT NOT FORCEFUL EXERCISE

ASHWAGANDHA POWDER HALF TEASPOON MORNING AND NIGHT WITH WARM MILK MAHAYOGRAJ GUGGUL TWO TABLETS MORNING AND EVENING AFTER FOOD WITH WARM WATER EKANGVEER RAS ONE TABLET TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD WITH WARM WATER BALA POWDER HALF TEASPOON TWICE DAILY WITH WARM MILK

DASHMOOLARISHTA FOUR TEASPOONS TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD WITH EQUAL WATER

DAILY WARM OIL MASSAGE TO LOWER BACK HIPS THIGHS KNEES AND LEGS USING SESAME OIL OR MAHANARAYAN OIL FOLLOWED BY WARM WATER BATH

DO NOT SIT CONTINUOUSLY FOR LONG HOURS EVERY ONE HOUR STAND AND MOVE FOR TWO TO THREE MINUTES START WALKING ONLY FIVE MINUTES TWICE DAILY AND INCREASE VERY GRADUALLY USE SUPPORT WHILE WALKING IF REQUIRED AVOID COLD EXPOSURE TO LEGS AND LOWER BACK SLEEP REGULARLY AND AVOID LATE NIGHTS

WARM FRESH COOKED FOOD INCLUDE DAL SOUP VEGETABLE SOUPS RICE MILLET AVOID COLD FOOD CURD AT NIGHT FRIED FOOD REFINED SUGAR

INVESTIGATIONS ADVISED FASTING AND POST MEAL BLOOD SUGAR VITAMIN B12 VITAMIN D NERVE CONDUCTION STUDY IF NOT DONE MRI LUMBAR SPINE IF SYMPTOMS PROGRESS

WITH REGULAR MEDICINE OIL THERAPY AND SLOW CONSISTENT MOVEMENT IMPROVEMENT IS POSSIBLE OVER THREE TO SIX MONTHS DO NOT EXPECT QUICK RESULTS BUT THIS CONDITION CAN STABILIZE AND WALKING CONFIDENCE CAN IMPROVE WITH DISCIPLINED CARE

Ashwagandha does not suits me, secondly when I walk and think about something, my legs mostly left stops and I fall down. Pl advice.

THANK YOU FOR CLARIFYING THIS IMPORTANT POINT

THE FACT THAT YOUR LEFT LEG STOPS WHEN YOUR ATTENTION SHIFTS IS VERY SIGNIFICANT AND IT CHANGES THE APPROACH

THIS INDICATES A COMBINATION OFIMPAIRED NERVE CONDUCTION POOR BRAIN TO LEG ,COORDINATION BALANCE CENTER INVOLVEMENT AND POSSIBLE LEFT SIDE DOMINANT NEURO MUSCULAR CONTROL DEFICIT

WHEN YOU WALK AND THINK YOUR BRAIN DIVIDES ATTENTION AND THE SIGNAL TO THE LEFT LEG FAILS MOMENTARILY ,WHICH IS WHY IT STOPS AND YOU FALL, THIS MEANS YOUR BODY IS CURRENTLY DEPENDING ON CONSCIOUS CONTROL TO WALK NOT AUTOMATIC CONTROL.

FIRST VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE DO NOT WALK ALONE DO NOT WALK WITHOUT SUPPORT USE A WALKING STICK OR WALKER IMMEDIATELY PREVENTING FALLS IS PRIORITY

SINCE ASHWAGANDHA DOES NOT SUIT YOU REVISED MEDICINE PLAN

BALA POWDER HALF TEASPOON MORNING AND EVENING WITH WARM MILK

EKANGVEER RAS ONE TABLET ONCE DAILY AFTER LUNCH ONLY

MAHAYOGRAJ GUGGUL ONE TABLET AFTER DINNER

BRAHMI GHRIT HALF TEASPOON AT NIGHT WITH WARM MILK

DASHMOOLARISHTA TWO TEASPOONS TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD WITH EQUAL WATER

DAILY OIL MASSAGE USE MAHANARAYAN OIL OR KSHIRABALA OIL MASSAGE LOWER BACK HIP LEFT THIGH KNEE CALF AND FOOT FOCUS MORE ON LEFT SIDE

SIT DAILY AND PRACTICE SIMPLE FOOT MOVEMENTS LOOK AT YOUR FEET AND MOVE TOES ANKLES KNEES THIS REBUILDS BRAIN LEG CONNECTION

HEAD DROWSINESS THIS SUGGESTS CIRCULATION OR NECK INVOLVEMENT

AVOID PILLOWS THAT PUSH NECK FORWARD

INVESTIGATIONS MRI BRAIN MRI CERVICAL AND LUMBAR SPINE VITAMIN B12 VITAMIN D ELECTROLYTES

THIS IS A NEURO MUSCULAR COORDINATION ISSUE

THE GOAL IS TO STOP FALLS IMPROVE STABILITY RETRAIN BRAIN LEG SIGNAL NOT SPEED OR DISTANCE

WITH THE ABOVE CORRECTIONS AND SAFETY MEASURES YOU CAN PREVENT WORSENING AND GRADUALLY IMPROVE CONTROL

HELLO,

You are having difficulty controlling your legs below the knees. When you try to walk, the legs do not respond properly, as if the message from the brain is not reaching them clearly. Because of this, balance is poor, you feel unsteady while standing, and you need support. You also feel weakness, tiredness, and a heavy or dull feeling in the head.

This is not just simple weakness. It is a problem related to -nerves -braim leg coordination -reduced strength of muscles -reduced energy flow in the bod

Because this problem has been present for more than 6 months, it is considered chronic

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING- AYURVEDIC VIEW MAIN CAUSE= Vata dosha disturbance In Ayurveda, vata dosha controls all movement and nerve signals -movement of legs -balance -brain nerve communication -muscle coordination With increasing age , sedentary lifestyle, improper digestion and tissue weakness, Vata becomes aggravated

ADDITIONAL PROBLEM : KAPHA BLOCKING VATA Along with vata disturbance, Kapha dosha blocks the normal movement of vata, causing -heaviness -slowness -poor response of legs -dullness or drowsiness in head

AFFECTED BODY TISSUES -Majja dhatu (nervous tissue)-> neuropathy -Mamsa dhatus (muscles)-> weakness, fatigue -Asthi dhatu (bones and spine)-> poor support

This condition is called -Vata vayadhi with kapha avarana and Dhatus kshaya

TREATMENT GOALS -remove Kapha blockage from nerve pathways -calm aggravated vata -nourish nerves and muscles -improve brain-leg coordination -improve balance and walking capacity -prevent further nerve damage -improve quality of. life

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) YOGARAJ GUGGULU= 2 tab twice daily after meals for 3 months =best medicine for chronic vata disorders, improves nerve function, reduces stiffness, weakness, clears obstruction in channels

2) MAHARASNADI KASHAYA= 20 ml + 20 ml warm water, twice daily before food for 3 months =reduces vata and kapha, improves movement of joints and nerves, useful in walking difficulty and heaviness

3) ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 1 tsp twice daily with warm milk for 3 months = strengthens nerves and muscles, improves stamina, reduces fatigue , acts as nerve rejuvenator

4) BRAHMI GHRITA= 1 tsp at night with warm milk for 3 months =improves brain-nerve communication, reduces drowsiness and dullness, improves coordination and clarity

5) KSHEERBALA 101 CAPSULES= 1 cap twice daily for 3 months =specifically nourishes nerves, very effective in neuropathy , pacifies vata deeply

6) CHYAWANPRASHA= 1 tsp morning daily

EXTERNAL THERAPIES

1) OIL MASSAGE -MAHANARAYAN TAILA Daily or alternate day -gentle massage from lower back to feet =nourishes nerves, improves circulation, reduces vata, improves balance

2) FOMENTATION= after massage with steam or hot towel =removes stiffness, opens blocked channels, helps oil penetrate deeper

DIET -warm, freshly cooked food -rice, wheat, oats -moong dal, massor dal -milk if digestible -ghee 1-2 tsp daily -cooked vegetables - bottle gourd, pumpkin, carrot -almonds 2 soaked daily

AVOID -cold food and drinks -dry foods-biscuits, chips -excess tea/coffee -sour curd at night - very spicy, fermented food

LIFESTYLE CHANGES -avoid long sitting -do not walk till exhaution -use support while walking -regular sleep routine -avoid cold exposure -daily oil massage is essential

YOGA ASANAS -tadasana -pawanmuktasana -vajrasana -simple leg lifting exercises

PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= słów, gentle -Bhramari= calming nerves Avoid fast breathing and forceful postures

HOME REMEDIES -Warm milk + pinch of turmeric + ghee at night -Sesame oil massage on feet before sleep -Ashwagandha + milk at night -Hot water sipping during day

INVESTIGATIONS NEEDED (very important) -blood sugar fasting and HbA1c -vitamin B12 -MRI spine (lumbar + cervical) -Nerve conduction study -thyroid profile -comblete blood count

This helps rule out -diabetic neuropathy -vitamin deficiency -spinal compression

This condition is manageable, not hopeless. Because it is chronic, improvement will be slow but steady. with regular treatment, proper diet, oil therapies and patience -balance can improve -walking time can increase -quality of life can improve Consistency is more important than speed

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

Hlo,

Based on your age (62), long-standing symptoms (>6 months), gait imbalance, heaviness/“no signal” feeling in legs, head drowsiness, weakness and sedentary lifestyle — this closely matches a - - Vata-dominant neurological disorder in Ayurveda (often correlated with Vatavyadhi, Majja Dhatu kshaya, Avarana of Vata).

🌿 Ayurvedic Assessment - Primary Dosha: Vata (↑) - Affected Dhatu: Majja & Mamsa - Srotas: Majjavaha, Rasavaha - Agni: Likely Manda - Condition type: Chronic, degenerative → needs Brimhana + Vata-shamana

💊Ayurvedic Internal Medicines

1) Yograj Guggulu – 1 tab twice daily after meals

2) Ashwagandha Churna – 3–5 g with warm milk at night

3) Dashmool Kwath – 20 ml twice daily before meals

4) Brahmi Vati – 1 tab twice daily (for brain-nerve coordination)

5)Maha Vat Vidhwans Ras – 1 tab once daily (if strength is low)

🛢️ PANCHAKARMA (MOST IMPORTANT PART) 1️⃣ Abhyanga (Daily Oil Massage) Oil: Mahanarayan Taila or Balashwagandhadi Taila Whole body or at least lower limbs + spine Duration: 30–45 min

2️⃣ Swedana (Steam Therapy) After Abhyanga Use Dashmool steam Helps stiffness, circulation, nerve signaling

3️⃣ Basti Therapy (KEY TREATMENT FOR NEUROPATHY) ✔️ Kala Basti / Yoga Basti (8–16 days) Anuvasana Basti: Ashwagandha Taila / Sahacharadi Taila Niruha Basti: Dashmool + Bala + Erandmool decoction

👉 Basti is the gold standard for Vata-related nerve disorders

4️⃣ (Optional if head heaviness persists) Shirodhara with Brahmi Taila – 5–7 sessions

🥗 Diet & Lifestyle (Very Important) Warm, freshly cooked food

Avoid: cold food, curd at night, excess tea/coffee Use: ghee, milk, moong dal, cooked vegetables Gentle walking + Vata-pacifying yoga (under guidance) Avoid long sitting & late nights

⚠️ Important Note Your symptoms (loss of balance, weak signal feeling, head drowsiness) should also be evaluated alongside modern investigations (B12, sugar, spine/brain if not done). Ayurveda works best when serious causes are ruled out.
