Namaste, Your condition — hormone-sensitive breast cancer and current anti-hormonal treatment — requires a very careful and safe approach, especially while choosing any herbs or supplements. The focus should be on gentle nourishment, avoiding anything that may influence hormones, and supporting hair health safely. Many Ayurvedic herbs like Shatavari, Ashwagandha, and certain rasayanas can have phytoestrogen-like actions, so they are generally not preferred in your case without direct medical supervision. For now, it is better to avoid self-medication with internal herbal supplements. For hair care, a safe and supportive approach can be followed: Use mild, natural hair care. Avoid chemical-based products, excessive heat styling, and tight hairstyles. Ensure good scalp hygiene. Include adequate protein in diet (like moong dal, milk if suitable), along with nuts and seeds in small quantities. Hydration and proper sleep are important for hair health. Ayurvedic medicines (external use – safer approach): Neelibhringadi Taila – apply gently to scalp 3–4 times a week, leave for 30–60 minutes or overnight, then wash Bhringamalakadi Taila – can be used alternately for scalp nourishment and dryness Internal medicines (only under supervision): In your condition, internal medicines should be started only after consulting your oncologist along with an Ayurvedic physician, to avoid any interaction with ongoing treatment. These external applications are traditionally used to support scalp nourishment, reduce dryness, and help with hair thinning in a gradual and safe way. Hair improvement may take a few weeks to months, especially during ongoing treatment, so gentle and consistent care is important. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

Thank you, I’ve never heard of that oil. I need to find a new way to cope with reality—that is, to stop obsessively checking every product I buy, which isn’t easy. I was advised to stay away from soy, and I bought Ayurvedic products, such as Damask rose powder, alma, and shikai—now I see I probably can’t use them. Conventional medicine doesn’t have enough studies or experience;.Sinds My breast cancer came back after 24 years, I just need to avoid phytoestrogens

With your history of estrogen and progesterone sensitive breast cancer and ongoing anti hormonal treatment care has to be very thoughtful so that nothing interferes with your current therapy For your hair dryness curls and early greying focus mainly on gentle nourishment and external care regular use of Neelibringadi tailam two to three times a week can help improve scalp health reduce dryness and support better hair texture over time Shatavari gulam one teaspoon once daily and Ashwagandhadi lehyam one teaspoon once daily can be taken as supportive nourishment Keep your diet simple warm and nourishing with good quality proteins healthy fats nuts seeds and plenty of vegetables along with adequate hydration proper sleep and stress control as these play a major role in hair and overall health Continue regular follow up with your oncologist and keep your treatment consistent while using these supportive measures carefully

I am 50 years old. I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time at age 26, at stage 1; I underwent surgery, and my right breast was removed. I took tamoxifen for 5 years (which caused early menopause) and underwent radiation therapy. I became pregnant at age 34 and have had annual checkups. My mother died at age 55 from ovarian cancer. I’ve had two DNA tests, as did she, every 10 years, no mutations. I’m waiting for the results of the third test; my cancer has returned in the same breast, still stage 1, still hormone-receptor positive for estrogen and progesterone, but there’s still a molecular difference from the first cancer, according to the doctor. I had surgery and have resumed anti-hormonal therapy and radiation therapy. I got info not to use soya, or fish proteïne, or red cloves…difficult even to take care my hairs without being obsessive and reading ingedrians, what I eat, drink or use for skin,

When the report is expected to get ?

Because your breast cancer is ER+/PR+, you must strictly avoid common Ayurvedic hair remedies that contain phytoestrogens or mimic hormones. You must completely avoid Shatavari, fenugreek (Methi), Licorice (Yashtimadhu) and Red Clover, whether internally or in shampoos. Safe ayurvedic prescription (hormone-free) 1. Internal Support: Amalaki (Amla) Powder dosage: 1/2 teaspoon daily. in morning on an empty stomach with warm water. 2. External Therapy: Pure Bhringraj Oil Gently massage 1-2 teaspoons into the scalp twice a week. Leave it on for 2 hours before washing. 3. The Curly Hair hydration mask Recipe: Mix pure Hibiscus powder (or crushed fresh leaves/flowers) with water to make a paste. Apply it to the lengths of your hair for 30 minutes before washing. The condition you describe about her thinning during such treatment is pointed towards imbalance of vaat Pitta resulting from depletion of tissue caused by strong nature of medications so our goal is to Nourish the hair follicle without stimulating the endocrine system 1) Narasimha Rasayan - Van teaspoon at bedtime with warm water or milk 2) kesini oil- apply to scalp 30 minutes before washing three times a week 3) amrutharishtam - 15 ml with equal water toys daily after food 4) chyawanprash -1tsf every morning on an empty stomach Use natural hair wash like ritha or shikakai instead of chemical shampoo A paste of Amla powder and Hibiscus flower can help in greying condition Include soaked black raising dates and pomegranate use healthy fat like ghee in daily diet avoid sir spicy fermented food Pumpkin seeds and flaxseed will provide Omega 3 and Zinc also Avoid high stress practice Pranayam 10 minutes daily ensure 7 to 8 hour of sound sleep

Hello, First- very important safety note -In hormone sensitive breast cancer- avoid herbs that mimic estrogen (like shatavari, ashoka, soy extracts, fenugreek in high doses) -Ayurveda can support recovery and quality of life, but not replace oncology treatment -some herbal medicines can interact with treatment= always inform your oncologist So we focus only on no hormone stimulating safe, supportive care Ayurevdic view -condition= pitta + rakta dushti + vata agravation due to therapy -Hair fall= asthi dhatu kshaya + vata increase Goal -detox gently not aggressive -nourish without hormone stimulation -calm stress very important for recurrence risk Internal management 1) Gut + detox -Triphala tablet= 1 tab at night with warm water =digestion + toxin clearance, safe 2) Immunity + strenght -Chywanprasha Lehyam= 1 tsp morning =supports recovery, immunity, does NOT act like estrogen Avoid internally -shatavari, ashoka, aloe vera -strong rasayana -any cancer cure ayurvedic claims Hair care main focus for you 1) Best oil -Neelibringadi keram= 3-4 times/week =reduces hair fall + premature greying =works locally on scalp, not hormonal internally For dry curly hair alterntive -kesini oil= deep nourishment + improve texture If dandruff/itch present -durdurapatradi keram= use short term 2 weeks only Internally -Bringarajasava= 10 ml after meals twice =helps follicle strength Simple routine -oil massage= leave 30-60 min -wash with mild herbal shampoo avoid= heat styling, tight hairstyling, frequent washing add coconut oil light application for curls Lifestyle Daily -15 min pranayam anulom vilom + bhramari -20 min walking Stress control Ayurveda therapies like shirodhara will help calm nervous system and stress Diet very important -warm freshly cooked meals -amla natural vitamin c -ghee smal amount -moong dal, vegetables Avoid -soy products phytoestrogen -processed food -excess sugar and dairy -packaged herbal powders Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
