Hello Sneha, Thanks for reaching out. To suggest the right Ayurvedic treatment plan, I need a bit more information: 1. Are the lumps in one or both breasts? Are they soft and fluid-filled or firm? 2. Do they change in size during your menstrual cycle? Have you noticed nipple discharge, skin changes, or tenderness before periods? 3. Do you experience irregular or painful periods, mood swings, or acne? 4. How is your diet—do you consume a lot of dairy, caffeine, or processed foods? 5. How is your digestion? Do you often face bloating, constipation, or acidity? 6. What’s your lifestyle like—stress levels, sleep patterns, and physical activity? 7. Besides Ashoka syrup and sesame oil massage, have you tried other treatments? 8. Is there any family history of breast conditions or hormonal imbalances? 9. Have you taken any medications, especially hormonal therapies? 10. Lastly, have you done a Breast USG to assess the nature of the lumps?
Your responses will help me identify the underlying dosha imbalance and recommend effective Ayurvedic remedies, dietary adjustments, and therapies for lasting relief.
Seals in both mammary glands, they are soft, but before menstruation they become hard and increase, and I feel pain. I did not notice any discharge from the nipples or skin changes. Menstruation is regular, my mood changes before them, sometimes I am irritated, but I thought that everyone has it. I drink coffee 2 times a day, sometimes I eat meat, but in general I try to stick to a vegetarian diet, I do not drink milk. There was no bloating, constipation or increased acidity, I sleep 7-8 hours a day, I did not notice any stress, I practice tsog and in general I am a fairly calm person. Apart from massage with Ashoka syrup, I have not tried anything. No one in the family had problems with breasts. I did an ultrasound of the mammary glands, after which the doctor told me that I have mastopathy. It seems that I said everything, did not forget anything.

Ah, fibrocystic mastopathy can be quite the nuisance, especially when it messes with sleep and daily comfort. I get your desire to avoid heavy meds and lean towards something that vibes with nature. In Ayurveda, this condition is often linked to imbalances in the doshas, mainly Kapha and Vata, with a touch of Pitta sometimes playing a role too.
Your use of Ashoka syrup and sesame oil is a good start, as they’re known to balance the doshas, particularly in female reproductive health, but let’s dig a bit deeper.
1. Diet: Cutting down on things that aggravate Kapha like dairy, sugar, and fried foods might really help. Opt for warm, light, easily digestible meals. Ginger tea is magical here for its warmth and agni (digestive fire) boosting properties; sip it maybe twice a day if you can.
2. Herbal Support: You might wanna try Guggul – it’s often used to reduce swellings and manage cystic conditions. Guggulu formulations like Kanchanar Guggulu work towards addressing lymphatic congestion which might be at play here. Follow doses recommended by an ayurvedic pro tho, since these come in diff strengths.
3. Lifestyle & Routine: Keep those boobs comfortable. Supportive undergarments, maybe? Also, reducing stress can make a difference. Meditation or simple deep-breathing exercises can do wonders in calming Pitta dosha which often flares up pain and irritation. And yes, getting proper shut-eye is crucial; maybe try unwinding with a warm sesame oil foot massage at night – calms Vata and helps with sleep.
4. External Applications: Besides sesame massage, consider castor oil packs applied warm over the breasts. Leave it for about 20-30 mins maybe thrice a week. It’s quite detoxifying and soothing. Just be careful with the heat, don’t burn yourself.
And always, if symptoms escalate or just linger uncomfortably, it might be time to check back with your doc or ayurvedic practitioner who can tailor a plan just for you. You’re doing great seeking out gentle, natural remedies but ensuring safety comes first. Careful balancing acts with doshas sometimes need a bit of personal tweaking!
