Licorice root tea has soothing qualities as well, but consult someone if you have blood pressure issues. Triphala is a tridoshic rasayana, which can help balance the doshas and enhance digestion—take it in the evening mixed with lukewarm water.
Adopt relaxation techniques like pranayama or gentle yoga, as stress can exacerbate gastritis. Meditation or deep breathing might help to calm mind and reduce acid production.
Importantly, lifestyle modifications can be a game changer. Avoid skipping meals, and aim for regular sleep patterns to balance Vata and Pitta. Smoking and excessive caffeine should be cut down as they provoke Pitta.
