Your symptoms suggest that your digestive system is facing some challenges, possibly linked to an imbalance in Agni, or digestive fire, and potential Vata dosha disturbance. These factors might be contributing to your feelings of fullness, gas, and overall lack of energy. Let’s explore a few practical steps you can take.

Firstly, balancing your Agni is crucial. You might start by consuming a warm glass of water mixed with a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and a pinch of ginger powder before meals. This can help kindle your digestive fire gently, promoting better digestion. Incorporate more warm and cooked foods into your diet, as raw foods may be more difficult for your stomach to process at this time.

Given the possibility of a Vata imbalance, it’s important to eat regularly and maintain a routine. Try eating smaller yet frequent meals instead of large ones, as this helps prevent feeling overly full. Favor easy-to-digest foods like rice, moong dal, and steamed vegetables, and reduce your intake of raw salads, fried foods, and cold beverages.

Adding some herbal support, such as triphala, can be beneficial. You can take half a teaspoon of triphala powder with warm water before bed; it not only aids digestion but also helps with constipation and supports overall bowel health.

Regarding lifestyle, relaxation and gentle exercise are key. Avoid strenuous workouts that leave you feeling depleted; instead, consider activities like yoga or tai chi to promote balance and relieve stress. A warm oil self-massage with sesame oil can ground Vata dosha and promote relaxation, especially before bedtime or a warm shower.

Lastly, your mental exhaustion is concerning and might be partially due to poor sleep patterns. Establishing a calming bedtime routine—such warm bath, reading a book, and avoiding screens—can be helpful. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that might help reduce stress and improve sleep quality. Consult with a local Ayurvedic practitioner before making significant changes or introducing new herbs into your routine.

If these approaches don’t provide enough relief, consider seeking further professional evaluation to rule out any underlying issues that may require additional attention.
