Your symptoms of weakness, fatigue, and heaviness in the head can be understood through the lens of Ayurveda by considering imbalances in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta doshas. Given your history with antacids and antidepressants, it’s possible there’s some agni (digestive fire) disturbance or nutritional imbalances that’s contributing to your symptoms.

Firstly, balancing Vata, which is responsible for movement and energy levels, may help. You could start incorporating more grounding and oily foods into your diet. Favor warm, cooked meals over cold or raw foods, such as soups, steamed vegetables, and whole grains like rice. Ghee or sesame oil could be beneficial in small amounts to stabilize the Vata dosha. Also, regular meal times are important and try not to skip meals.

To support your agni, consider herbal supplements that are known to aid digestion, like trikatu—a combination of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger. These can help rekindle your digestive fire. Take a teaspoon of this mix with some warm water before meals. It’s valuable to consult with a practitioner before starting herbal treatments, especially as you’re on long-term medication.

Incorporating a daily routine (dinacharya) is also crucial. Wake up early, ideally before sunrise, and start your day with a glass of warm water. Gentle stretching or yoga in the morning could invigorate your energy levels without overexerting. Practices like pranayama breathing exercises can reduce heaviness and improve mental clarity.

For Pitta in the head, applying Brahmi oil or coconut oil to the scalp once a week can bring relief due to its cooling properties. Just a gentle massage at bedtime can ease mental strain and induce better sleep quality.

Hydration is key, yet avoid heavy intakes at once. Drink throughout the day small sips of warm water or concoctions like coriander water. A calming herbal tea with tulsi (holy basil) can also support relaxation and aid in reducing anxiety or depressive symptoms persisting.

Continue to work collaboratively with your health practitioners, as abrupt changes aren’t advisable given your medical history. If any recommendations induce discomfort or if symptoms escalate, always seek professional guidance.
