Digestive Issues and Tongue Sores After Stress - #39152

Client_1e588c

Good day, I have already written here, but there is one symptom that is not clear to me. Since a year I have a problem with digestion, which started after strong stress and panic attacks. In that period I started eating fried foods and many eggs almost every day, because it seemed that it helps me with energy levels. But for the first time in my life I started to have bitterness in the mouth and my tongue started to cover with red spots that were growing. Blood analysis at the time showed Gamma GT 48 (slightly higher than should be). Followed another period of stress and I was feeling the same bitterness, especially after food like baked chicken, also nausea and oil in stools. After that I had an intestinal inflammation and loose stools every day for three months. Then I went on a diet with no sugar, no fruits, no gluten and no dairy. I stopped any oils, nuts, avocados, as I thought that I was allergic to them, as actually even my skin and throat was scratching after them. So my tongue cleared up, no bitterness, but I lost a lot of weight. After some time I thought that I can get back to normal diet and started eating nuts, bread, red meat, again a lot of eggs and the more I was eating, the more the tongue was developing sores and white coating. Also I would have a diarrhoea after too much fat or after not cooking vegetables soft enough. Eventually now my digestion has become very difficult, I can’t eat much, my reflux has like an alkaline taste. So now I stopped anything fatty, no nuts,a bit of sesam oil only, only white fish and grains, and still I have white coating and the sores are appearing on tongue. I am also very very constipated, I’m going to the bathroom once in 5 days. My most recent blood analysis shows Gamma GT 129, AST 38, ALT 58. My question is why could I have such a high Gamma GT and tongue sores, how can I help myself with constipation and why the reflux could have an alkaline taste. What terapie could help me? Thank you so much.

HELLO,

Your digestive problems started after a period of very intense stress + panic When stress is very high for longer time, the nervous system shifts into a survival mode (fight/flight). When this happens- your digestion shuts down, bile flow becomes irregular, stomach acid and bile lose normal timing and the liver becomes irritated

In Ayurveda -Vata (air/movement force) goes upward -Pitta (heat/bile) becomes excessive and unstable

WHAT THIS CAUSES

1) Bile becomes too strong, acidic, irritative-This leads to bitterness in mouth, alkaline reflux, nausea after fatty foods, feeling heavy and sick after fried/ oily meals

2) Liver becomes irritated -This is why you GGT increased GGT rising means the liver + bile tract are under strain and inflammation irritation is happening

3) Fat digestion becomes weak So oil comes in stool, and you got diarrhea when eating fatty foods

4) Toxins/ waste accumulate inside (AMA) because digestion became weak -food doesn’t fully digest This incomplete digestion produces sticky toxic residue which. Ayurveda calls AMA

This AMA mixes with PITTA (heat)-> and that combination creates the tongue sores and white coating

This is extremely classical signature

5) Vata gets blocked downward over time - the bowel movement stopped happening regularly-> leading to severe constipation(once in 5 days)

This also keeps bile stuck inside system-> making reflux worse

WHY STRESS IS MAIN ROOT CAUSE The first trigger was stress when stress is long lasting -vagus nerve becomes low tone -digestive muscle movement slows -bile flow becomes disordered -stomach/liver coordination fails

So even when food is healthy later-> the system does not digest it properly because the CONTROL SYSTEM is disturbed

So your problem is not mainly food allergy. It is a stress-> nervous system-> liver bile regulation problem

WHY TONGUE SORES HAPPEN SPECIFICALLY Tongue is the mirror of GI inflammation When bile (pitta) mixes with undigested material (ama)->toxic heat forms->this inflames the tongue surface-> red spots, ulcers, burning, white coat

When you removed fats ad reduced diet very strict-> tongue improved because pitta load reduced TEMPORARILY. But vata went weaker ad unstable again- so when you ate normal-> it came back again

WHY ALKALINE REFLUX (important) Most people think reflux is always acidic stomach acid. In your case it is mostly alkaline bile coming upward-> bacause vata motion became reversed upward (called udvartana in Ayurveda) + bile flow not going down properly

That is why the taste is bitter + alkaline

You don’t have a permenanetly damaged gut. You have a stress induced digestio control system disorder , where bile + vata direction became reversed, digestion because weak, toxic accumulated, liver became irritated, and that combination caused tongue sores, intolerance to fats, reflux and constipation

This is a reversible dynamic functional condition

TREATMENT GOALS

-pitta shamana=cool liver + reduce bile irritation -mridu ama pachan=remove sticky toxins gently -vata anulomana= make vata go down daily-> daily stool -rasa/rakta shudhi= tongue sores healing -build back agni

5) USHIRASAVA= 15 ml+ warm water twice daily after meals =interal pitta rakta cooling

6) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime =apana vata to move down + daily stool rhythm

DURATION= 3-4 months

AFTER 3-4 MONTHS, WHEN SYMPTOMS IMPROVES- WHEN DAILY STOOL IS ESTABLISH KINDLY STATRT

Dr. Sara Garg
I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

Hello I completely understand your situation — your symptoms reflect a deep connection between stress, digestion, and liver function. But don’t worry we are here to help you out 😊

✅ AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

Your condition can be correlated with Ajeerna (chronic indigestion), Yakrit Dushti (liver dysfunction), and Amlapitta with Vata-Pitta aggravation caused by: –Prolonged mental stress (Manasika Vega Avarodh), –Excess fried, heavy, and hot foods, –Irregular eating pattern, and –Suppression of natural urges (constipation, anxiety).

The tongue coating and sores indicate accumulated Ama (toxic metabolic residue) and aggravated Pitta in the mouth and GI tract.

The alkaline reflux you describe often results from low digestive fire (Manda Agni) combined with bile regurgitation due to liver stress — explaining your high Gamma GT and liver enzyme levels.

✅AYURVEDIC PLAN OF MANAGEMENT

✅SHODHANA (Detoxification Phase – Gradual Approach)

Since your body is weak and liver enzymes are raised, we’ll begin with mild cleansing rather than strong purgation.

👉Mridu Virechana (Gentle Purgation) – once a week for 4 week

Take 1 tsp of Gandharvahastadi Taila or Triphala Churna (2 tsp) with warm water at bedtime on Sunday night.

This helps relieve constipation, clear bile stagnation, and reduce Gamma GT levels.

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION

✅For Liver & Digestion

1 Bhumyamalaki Churna – 1 tsp with honey in the morning (hepatoprotective).

2. Liv Up 1-0-1 after food – (enhances bile flow).

3 Guduchi Satva – 1 tsp in warm water daily (immune & stress modulator).

✅ For Tongue Sores & Pitta

Gargle with Yashtimadhu decoction or Triphala kwath twice daily. Apply cow ghee or Aloe vera gel on tongue ulcers 2–3 times a day.

✅For Constipation

Triphala Churna – 1 tsp nightly with warm water or ghee.

✅ STRESS AND MIND MANAGEMENT

Stress is a root trigger of your digestive imbalance.

Manasmitra Vatakam – 1 tablet at bedtime (calms mind, improves sleep, reduces anxiety-related gut issues).

Practice Bhramari & Anulom Vilom Pranayama 10 minutes daily.

Try Abhyanga (warm sesame oil self-massage) before bath to calm Vata and reduce internal restlessness.

✅ DIET & LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION

✅ Include:

Soft-cooked vegetables: bottle gourd, ridge gourd, pumpkin, ash gourd. Warm rice gruel (kanji), moong dal, thin khichdi with ghee. Pomegranate juice, amla, and coconut water (natural liver tonics). Cumin, coriander, fennel water for digestion.

❌ Avoid:

Fried, spicy, sour, fermented, and heavy foods. Eggs, red meat, bakery foods, and raw salads. Tea, coffee, alcohol, and mental strain after meals.

✅Lifestyle:

Eat meals at regular intervals and avoid skipping breakfast. Sleep early, avoid late-night screen exposure. Gentle evening walks and stress journaling can help balance Vata.

✅ Follow-Up & Panchakarma Option

Once your digestion stabilizes and constipation improves, you may consider Panchakarma at a nearby Ayurvedic center:

–Virechana Karma (therapeutic purgation) – for liver cleansing. –Shirodhara – for anxiety and sleep regulation. —Abhyanga with Basti – to pacify Vata and restore digestive strength.

Your symptoms show both liver overload and nervous system exhaustion due to chronic stress.

Within a few weeks of consistent routine, you’ll regain energy, healthy digestion, and mental peace.

Wishing you a good health😊

Warm regards, Dr. Snehal Vidhate

HELLO,

-This presentation is NOT “fat allergy” -This is classic high pitta + vata vyana/apana dysregulation + very high sympathetic load (sustained)-> liver stagnation -Your GGT jump is compatible with this pattern :- 48-> 129 is not benign. This is reversible. but it needs active intervention

AYURVEDIC VIEW -pitta vriddhi/ pitta srotodushti -vata avarana of pitta in grahani -apana vata extremely deranged (constipatio 5 days) -rasa dhatu daurbalya -jihva mandala shows pitta + ama BOTH->hence the tongue sores+ coating alternating

When pitta + ama co-exist-> tongue sores are key signature

WHY ALKALINE REFLUX? Whe apana vata is reversed upward -> bile comes up this is why your reflux tastes alkaline not acidic exclusively

CORE MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLE we do not do classical deep panchakarma immediately You can’t tolerate that

we first to samshamana chikita + hepatobiliary pitta unloading + apana vata grounding

This takes 6-12 weeks

AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT

1) DIET (follow very strictly for 6-8 weeks) -avoid eggs completely -avoid nuts for now -no red meat - no fried -no raw salads -no nightshades intially 4 weeks

ALLOWED PROTEINS -white fish (perfect you chose) -mung dal khichri (soft cooked)

FATS (you must have fat to heal vata) - cow ghee 1 tsp per meal

-white rice, millet, oats, soft vegetables cooked long

SPICES= coriander, fennel ,cumin, small ginger not large

TEA= coriander +cumin + fennel tea

2) INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

-AVIPATTIKAR CHURNA= 1/2 tsp before meals with warm water =for pitta unloading + alkaline reflux

-KUTKI CHURNA= 250mg twice daily with warm water = liver/biliary pitta specific , GGT specific

-TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water at ight = for apana vata + constipation

-GUDUCHI GHAN VATI= 2 tabs at night =for chronic cytokine calm + mouth sores

3) ACTUAL THERAPY SEQUENCE This is the sequence that stabilises with high GGT cases

1) DEEPAN -PACHA (2 weeks) -Avipatttikar + coriander/cumin/fennel= food very gentle

2) MRIDU VIRECHAN (week 3-4 ) -low dose castor oil 1 tsp with milk once a week for 5 weeks

4)MIND/NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION (this is not optional) minimum daily - 20 min slow nasal breathing only via nose (resets vagal tone-> directly improves bile motility) -oil massage sesame oil 4 days/week pre-shower 10 min (vata treatment)

This is an important as medicines

THANK YOU

Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh
I am Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh, born and raised in Punjab where culture and traditions almost naturally guided me toward Ayurveda. From very early days I felt more drawn to natural ways of healing, and this curiosity finally led me to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh—an institution known for shaping strong Ayurvedic physicians. During those years I learned not only the classical texts and treatment methods, but also how to look at health through a very practical, human lense. For the past five years I worked in clinical practice, where patients come with wide range of concerns—from chronic digestion troubles to autoimmune illness—and I try to integrate both Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge to give them the most complete care I can. Sometimes western diagnostics help me to understand the stage of disease, while Ayurveda helps me design treatment that address root cause. This bridging approach is not always easy, but I believe it’s necessary for today’s health challanges. Currently I am also pursuing higher studies in Panchakarma therapy. Panchakarma is an area I feel very strongly about—it is not just detox, it is a whole system of cleansing, rejuvenation, rebalancing, and I want to deepen my expertise here. In practice, I combine Panchakarma with lifestyle guidance, diet planning, herbal remedies, yoga and mindfulness practices depending on what a patient actually needs at that moment. No two cases are same, and Ayurveda reminds me daily that healing must be personal. My approach is always focused on root-cause management rather than temporary relief. Diet, herbs, therapeutic oils, meditation routines, and simple daily habits—they all work together when chosen rightly. Sometimes results come slow, sometimes faster, but I try to keep care sustainable and compassionate. Helping someone regain energy, sleep better, or reduce pain, that is the real achievement in my journey. And I continue learning, because Ayurveda is deep, it doesn’t finish with one degree or one training, it grow with every patient and every experiance. My specialties lie in treating a range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions using Ayurveda’s time-tested principles, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution (Prakriti). I have significant expertise in managing digestive disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diabetes, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. I also specialize in addressing stress-related and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and burnout, which are increasingly common in today’s fast-paced world. By integrating therapies like Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead) to calm the nervous system, Abhyanga (herbal oil massages) to balance Vata dosha, and adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, I help patients achieve mental clarity and emotional resilience. In the field of musculoskeletal and joint health, I excel in treating conditions like arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Using therapies such as Kati Basti (localized oil retention on the lower back) and potent anti-inflammatory herbs like Guggulu and Shallaki, I focus on reducing inflammation, improving joint mobility, and strengthening tissues. My treatments have helped many patients, particularly those seeking non-invasive alternatives, regain mobility and reduce pain through a blend of internal medications and external therapies. Skin disorders are another key area of my practice, where I address conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, and pigmentation issues holistically. My clinical focus lies in treating conditions such as piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), rectal polyps, and pilonidal sinus using time-tested Ayurvedic approaches like Ksharasutra, Agnikarma, and other para-surgical procedures outlined in classical texts. With a deep commitment to patient care, I emphasize a holistic treatment protocol that combines precise surgical techniques with Ayurvedic formulations, dietary guidance, and lifestyle modifications to reduce recurrence and promote natural healing. I strongly believe in integrating traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with patient-centric care, which allows for better outcomes and long-lasting relief. Beyond clinical practice, I am also committed to raising awareness about Ayurvedic proctology and promoting non-invasive treatments for conditions often mismanaged or overtreated by modern surgical approaches. Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Anirudh Deshmukh
I am Dr Anurag Sharma, done with BAMS and also PGDHCM from IMS BHU, which honestly shaped a lot of how I approach things now in clinic. Working as a physician and also as an anorectal surgeon, I’ve got around 2 to 3 years of solid experience—tho like, every day still teaches me something new. I mainly focus on anorectal care (like piles, fissure, fistula stuff), plus I work with chronic pain cases too. Pain management is something I feel really invested in—seeing someone walk in barely managing and then leave with actual relief, that hits different. I’m not really the fancy talk type, but I try to keep my patients super informed, not just hand out meds n move on. Each case needs a bit of thinking—some need Ksharasutra or minor para surgical stuff, while others are just lifestyle tweaks and herbal meds. I like mixing the Ayurved principles with modern insights when I can, coz both sides got value really. It’s like—knowing when to go gentle and when to be precise. Right now I’m working hard on getting even better with surgical skills, but also want to help people get to me before surgery's the only option. Had few complicated cases where patience n consistency paid off—no shortcuts but yeah, worth it. The whole point for me is to actually listen first, like proper listen. People talk about symptoms but also say what they feel—and that helps in understanding more than any lab report sometimes. I just want to stay grounded in my work, and keep growing while doing what I can to make someone's pain bit less every day.

Dr. Ayush Varma
I am an Ayurvedic physician with an MD from AIIMS—yeah, the 2008 batch. That time kinda shaped everything for me... learning at that level really forces you to think deeper, not just follow protocol. Now, with 15+ years in this field, I mostly work with chronic stuff—autoimmune issues, gut-related problems, metabolic syndrome... those complex cases where symptoms overlap n patients usually end up confused after years of going in circles. I don’t rush to treat symptoms—I try to dig into what’s actually causing the system to go off-track. I guess that’s where my training really helps, especially when blending classical Ayurveda with updated diagnostics. I did get certified in Panchakarma & Rasayana therapy, which I use quite a lot—especially in cases where tissue-level nourishment or deep detox is needed. Rasayana has this underrated role in post-illness recovery n immune stabilization, which most people miss. I’m pretty active in clinical research too—not a full-time academic or anything, but I’ve contributed to studies on how Ayurveda helps manage diabetes, immunity burnout, stress dysregulation, things like that. It’s been important for me to keep a foot in that evidence-based space—not just because of credibility but because it keeps me from becoming too rigid in practice. I also get invited to speak at wellness events n some integrative health conferences—sharing ideas around patient-centered treatment models or chronic care via Ayurvedic frameworks. I practice full-time at a wellness centre that’s serious about Ayurveda—not just the spa kind—but real, protocol-driven, yet personalised medicine. Most of my patients come to me after trying a lot of other options, which makes trust-building a huge part of what I do every single day.

Dr. Surya Bhagwati
I am a Senior Ayurveda Physician with more than 28 years in this field — and trust me, it still surprises me how much there is to learn every single day. Over these years, I’ve had the chance to treat over 1 lakh patients (probably more by now honestly), both through in-person consults and online. Some come in with a mild cough, others with conditions no one’s been able to figure out for years. Each case brings its own rhythm, and that’s where real Ayurveda begins. I still rely deeply on classical tools — *Nadi Pariksha*, *Roga-Rogi Pariksha*, proper *prakriti-vikriti* mapping — not just ticking symptoms into a list. I don’t believe in ready-made cures or generic charts. Diagnosis needs attention. I look at how the disease behaves *inside* that specific person, which doshas are triggering what, and where the imbalance actually started (hint: it’s usually not where the pain is). Over the years I’ve worked with pretty much all age groups and all kinds of health challenges — from digestive upsets & fevers to chronic, autoimmune, hormonal, metabolic and degenerative disorders. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. Even now I keep learning — through texts, talks, patient follow-ups, sometimes even mistakes that taught me what not to do. And I’m still committed, still fully into it. Because for me, this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifelong responsibility — to restore balance, protect *ojas*, and help each person live in tune with themselves. That’s the real goal.

Dr. Maitri Bhavesh Kumar Acharya
I am Dr. Maitri, currently in my 2nd year of MD in Dravyaguna, and yeah, I run my own Ayurvedic clinic in Ranoli where I’ve been seeing patients for 2 years now. Honestly, what pulled me into this path deeper is how powerful herbs really are—when used right. Not just randomly mixing churnas but actually understanding their rasa, virya, vipaka etc. That’s kinda my zone, where textbook knowledge meets day-to-day case handling. My practice revolves around helping people with PCOD, acne, dandruff, back pain, stiffness in knees or joints that never seem to go away. And I don’t jump to giving a long list of medicines straight away—first I spend time figuring out their prakriti, their habits, food cycle, what triggers what… basically all the small stuff that gets missed. Then comes the plan—herbs (single or compound), some diet reshuffling, and always some lifestyle nudges. Sometimes they’re tiny, like sleep timing. Sometimes big like proper seasonal detox. Being into Dravyaguna helps me get into the depth of herbs more confidently. I don’t just look at the symptom—I think okay what guna will counter this? Should the drug be snigdha, ushna, tikta? Is there a reverse vipaka that’ll hurt the agni? I ask these questions before writing any combo. That’s made a huge diff in outcomes. Like I had this case of chronic urticaria that would flare up every week, and just tweaking the herbs based on sheetala vs ushna nature... helped calm the system in 3 weeks flat. Not magic, just logic. I also work with women who are struggling with hormonal swings, mood, delayed periods or even unexplained breakouts. When hormones go haywire, the skin shows, digestion slows, and mind gets foggy too. I keep my approach full-circle—cleansing, balancing, rejuvenating. No quick fixes, I tell them early on. What I’m hoping to do more of now is make Ayurveda feel practical. Not overwhelming. Just simple tools—ahara, vihara, aushadha—used consistently, with some trust in the body’s own healing. I’m still learning, still refining, but honestly, seeing people feel in control of their health again—that’s what keeps me rooted to this.

Dr. Ravi Chandra Rushi
I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too. I talk to patients in OPD, sometimes give community talks, just to tell people they do have safer options than cutting everything out under GA! I still study Shalya Tantra like it’s a living document. I try to stay updated with whatever credible advancements are happening in Ayurvedic surgery, but I filter what’s fluff and what’s actually useful. At the end of the day, my aim is to offer respectful, outcome-based care that lets patients walk out without shame or fear. That’s really what keeps me grounded in this field.

Dr. Snehal Vidhate
I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

By focusing on blood purification and balancing Pitta dosha and detoxifying Panchakarma techniques like Raktamokshana (bloodletting). My approach targets dietary and lifestyle triggers, offering sustainable results for clients who previously relied on temporary solutions like topical steroids. My dual expertise in Ayurveda and modern medicine allows me to create integrative treatment plans that are both effective and safe. I am deeply committed to patient education, empowering individuals to embrace Ayurvedic principles for sustainable health. Through this online platform, I am excited to offer virtual consultations, making the profound benefits of Ayurveda accessible to all. Whether you seek relief from a specific condition or aim to enhance overall vitality, I look forward to guiding you on your journey to balance and well-being with compassion and expertise.

Dr. Anjali Sehrawat
I am Dr. Anjali Sehrawat. Graduated BAMS from National College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Barwala (Hisar) in 2023—and right now I'm doing my residency, learning a lot everyday under senior clinicians who’ve been in the field way longer than me. It’s kind of intense but also really grounding. Like, it makes you pause before assuming anything about a patient. During my UG and clinical rotations, I got good hands-on exposure... not just in diagnosing through Ayurvedic nidan but also understanding where and when Allopathic tools (like lab reports or acute interventions) help fill the gap. I really believe that if you *actually* want to heal someone, you gotta see the whole picture—Ayurveda gives you that depth, but you also need to know when modern input is useful, right? I’m more interested in chronic & lifestyle disorders—stuff like metabolic imbalances, stress-linked issues, digestive problems that linger and slowly pull energy down. I don’t rush into giving churnas or kashayams just bcz the texts say so... I try to see what fits the patient’s prakriti, daily habits, emotional pattern etc. It’s not textbook-perfect every time, but that’s where the real skill grows I guess. I do a lot of thinking abt cause vs symptom—sometimes it's not the problem you see that actually needs solving first. What I care about most is making sure the treatment is safe, ethical, practical, and honest. No overpromising, no pushing meds that don’t fit. And I’m always reading or discussing sth—old Samhitas or recent journals, depends what the case demands. My goal really is to build a practice where people feel seen & understood, not just “managed.” That's where healing actually begins, right?

Dr. Prasad Pentakota
I am Dr. P. Prasad, and I’ve been in this field for 20+ years now, working kinda across the board—General Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology—you name it. Didn’t start out thinking I’d end up spanning that wide, but over time, each area sort of pulled me in deeper. And honestly, I like that mix. It lets me look at a patient not just through one lens but a whole system-wide view... makes more sense when treating something that won’t fit neatly in one category. I’ve handled everything from day-to-day stuff like hypertension, diabetes, or skin infections to more serious neuro and cardiac problems. Some cases are quick—diagnose, treat, done. Others take time, repeated check-ins, figuring out what’s really going on beneath those usual symptoms. And that’s where the detail matters. I’m pretty big on thorough diagnosis and patient education—because half the problem is ppl just not knowing what’s happening inside their own body. What’s changed for me over years isn’t just knowledge, it’s how much I lean on listening. If you miss what someone didn’t say, you might also miss their actual illness. And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.

Dr. Ayush Bansal
I am an Ayurveda doctor with about 1 yr of hands on clinical practice, still learning everyday from patients and the science itself. My journey started as a VOPD doctor with Hiims Hospital under Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd. For 6 months I was into virtual consultations, understanding cases online, preparing treatment protocols and doing follow ups to track progress. That phase trained me well in quick patient assesment and also in explaining Ayurveda in a way that fit with modern expectations. I dealt with many chronic and acute cases during that time.. things like gastric issues, joint pain, stress related complaints, skin problems. The remote setting forced me to sharpen my diagnostic skill and rely more on careful history taking, prakriti analysis, and lifestyle understanding. After that, I moved to a Resident Doctor role at Chauhan Ayurved and Panchkarma Hospital, Udaipur. This was very different.. more practical, hands on, and really grounded me in classical Panchakarma. I was actively part of planning and performing therapies like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and other detox and rejuvenation procedures. Many patients came with long standing spine issues, metabolic disorders, skin complaints, or hormonal imbalance and I got to see how tailored Panchakarma protocols and lifestyle advice together can bring changes that medicines alone couldn’t. Working closely with senior consultants gave me better clarity on safety, step by step planning and how to balance classical texts with practical hospital settings. Now, whether in OPD consultations or Panchkarma wards, I try to meet patients with empathy and patience. I focus on root cause correction, using herbs, diet, daily routine guidance, and therapy whenever needed. My belief is that Ayurveda should be accessible and authentic, not complicated or intimidating. My aim is simple—help people move towards long term wellness, not just temporary relief. I see health as balance of body, mind and routine.. and I want my practice to guide patients gently into that space.
