For chronic gastritis, we’ll focus on balancing the digestive fire, or agni, and pacifying your Pitta dosha, which seems aggravated based on your symptoms. Since you experience discomfort with flour and fried foods, and vomiting, we’ll aim to soothe and strengthen your digestion first. Begin by introducing a Pitta-pacifying diet, which includes cooling, mildly spiced foods. Favor foods like ripe bananas, papaya, and melons. Stick to whole grains like rice and quinoa. Avoid any foods that are spicy, sour, or heavy, such as fried foods, caffeine, and alcohol.
Regarding coconut, if it causes discomfort, avoid it for the time being. Focus on adding ingredients like fennel, cumin, coriander, and fresh ginger to your meals, which can aid digestion gently but effectively. Fennel tea, in particular, taken after meals, can help ease the digestion. Drink it warm and freshly, twice a day but not too hot, to avoid further Pitta aggravation.
In terms of daily habits, ensure to eat at regular intervals, not skipping meals to maintain stability in your digestive fire. Take your meals in a comfortable, relaxing environment, free from distractions. Chew thoroughly and eat slowly, allowing the digestive enzymes to work effectively.
Consider starting your day with a mix of warm water and a teaspoon of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach to soothe your digestive tract. Also, try half teaspoon of amla powder mixed with warm water once a day, which is excellent for balancing Pitta and promoting digestion.
If symptoms persist or worsen, consult an in-person Ayurvedic practitioner to rule out any underlying issues specific to your constitution. Sometimes immediate medical care may be necessary, especially if vomiting doesn’t improve. Consult with your healthcare provider about the continuous use of pantadac 40 mg, as long-term use without supervision can have negative effects.
Gastritis usually signals an imbalance in Pitta dosha, leading to inflammation in the stomach lining. Addressing the root involves calming the excess Pitta and restoring balance to your digestive fire, or agni. Initially, consider your diet, aiming to have cooling, soothing foods that are easy on the stomach. Avoid spicy, sour, and fried foods to reduce aggravation. Items like fresh aloe vera juice or a mixture of coriander and cumin seeds in water can be soothing if taken daily.
Try preparing a simple concoction by boiling equal parts coriander and cumin seeds in water and drinking it warm twice a day. Ajwain seeds, chewed after meals, may also aid digestion.
Meals should be light and frequent, avoiding large gaps between them to maintain steady digestion. Rice with buttermilk or moong dal soup can be nurturing and less taxing for your system.
Adding a herbal preparation like Amla (Indian gooseberry) can support healing the gut lining and soothing inflammation. It is generally safe but must be taken as advised by an expert in Ayurvedic medicine.
Despite these measures, if your symptoms persist or worsen—resulting in frequent vomiting or extreme discomfort—seek immediate conventional medical evaluation. Determining any additional underlying issues is crucial, since unresolved gastro-intestinal symptoms can evolve unpredictably. While Ayurveda supports healing, acute or unresolved severe symptoms require careful clinical assessment and collaboration with your healthcare provider to ensure comprehensive safety and care.
