I used to have motion tablets when my problem arises. But since from 2 years I am having hard stool and fissure problems. I went to many hospitals for my treatment. Recently I have undergone colonoscopy and results were normal. If I am having constipation problem I am using enema. Doctor suggested digestive syrups and tablets.

Laxmi, it seems that you’ve faced digestive concerns for quite some time. In Ayurveda, such chronic digestive issues and constipation might be linked to an imbalance in Vata dosha, which governs movement in the body, including the passage of stool. Let’s not forget, though, that each individual needs a diferent approach.
To alleviate your condition, it’s essential to focus on pacifying Vata and strengthening your Agni, or digestive fire. One useful dietary modification is to incorporate more warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest. Imagine starting with a simple, comforting meal like khichdi — made with rice and mung dal, seasoned lightly with spices like cumin, ginger, and a pinch of asafoetida. These ingredients help to kindle the digestive fire and avoid heavy meals like biryani till you feel better.
Keep yourself hydrated, but make sure not to drink lots of cold water, as it can extinguish Agni. Try sipping warm water or herbal teas like ginger or fennel tea throughout the day. Both ginger and fennel are excellent in aiding digestion and soothing the digestion tract.
In terms of daily habits, establishing a routine will greatly help. Eat meals at the same time each day, and don’t skip breakfast as it sets the tone for your digestion. Engage in moderate exercise like walking, which encourages regular bowel movement and promotes balance.
Triphala, a renowned Ayurvedic formula, is beneficial for chronic constipation. Take about a teaspoon of triphala powder (or 1-2 tablets) mixed in warm water before bed. This supports bowel movements while healing the gut. However, consult your Ayurvedic physician to determine the right dosage and to ensure it’s suitable for you.
Lastly, for hard stool and fissure relief, external application of coconut oil or sesame oil can provide soothing, healing effects. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and monitor your symptoms. Chronic situations may require personalized treatment as per Agni, dosha prakriti, and dominant symptoms.
