Doctors' responses

—GERD can be well controlled with Ayurvedic treatment and strict diet changes. In many patients, symptoms improve significantly and may completely settle if they follow proper food and lifestyle discipline. Since your symptoms are severe and ongoing for more than 6 months, you may start feeling relief in 2–4 weeks, with major improvement in about 2–3 months. Consistency is very important. —Rx- 1) tab amalpittanktak yog 1 tab BD after meal 2) tab coolant 1 tab BD after meal 3) shatavari churn 3gm at bed time with Luke warm milk 4) kamdudha rasa 2 tab twice daily after meal –Diet Advice: Avoid spicy, fried, sour, tea/coffee. Small frequent meals. Early dinner (before 8 pm). No lying down for 2–3 hours after food. —Lifestyle: 15 min walk after meals. Nadi Shodhana pranayama daily. Sleep on left side. –Follow up: After 15 days.
