Gallstones are usually: Cholesterol stones (most common) Pigment stones Size 3–8 mm = small stones. Small stones sometimes pass, but they also have higher risk of moving into bile duct. Can Gallstones Be Cured Without Surgery? Honest answer: 👉 Medicine can manage symptoms 👉 But complete permanent removal without surgery is uncertain Modern medicine says: If asymptomatic → no surgery needed If repeated pain / complications → surgery advised Surgery = Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (Safe & common procedure) When Surgery Is NOT Required If: No pain No jaundice No fever No pancreatitis Stones stable on ultrasound You can continue conservative management. Since you had no symptoms for 1 year, surgery is not urgent. Ayurvedic View This is Pittashmari (biliary calculi) Caused by: Pitta + Kapha dushti Meda imbalance Ayurvedic Management (For Non-Surgical Approach) ✔ Varunadi Kwath – 15 ml twice daily ✔ Punarnava Mandoor – 1 tab twice daily ✔ Arogyavardhini Vati – 1 tab twice daily ✔ Liv 52 / Bhumi Amla for liver support ⚠ Avoid strong “stone dissolving” marketing products. Large stones rarely dissolve completely. Diet Guidelines (Very Important) Continue: Low fat More water Add: Warm water Lemon water (morning) Fiber (lauki, tori, karela) Avoid: Fried food Heavy cream Red meat Long fasting ⚠ Do not do crash dieting (can increase stones) When to Immediately Go to Hospital 🚨 Severe right upper abdomen pain 🚨 Pain radiating to back 🚨 Fever + chills 🚨 Yellow eyes 🚨 Persistent vomiting That may indicate: Acute cholecystitis Bile duct obstruction Pancreatitis
