In Ayurveda, the period between 10 PM and 2 AM is dominated by Pitta (heat/fire). Eating heavy or sour-sweet fruits like bananas during this time interferes with the body’s natural cooling process, causing the “burning” or “acidic” rise in the chest. Fermentation: When a heavy fruit like a banana sits in a slow-moving digestive tract at night, it can ferment, leading to the bloating you’ve noticed.
According to ayurveda no fruits should be eaten at dinner time. It is always adviceable to have fruits in the morning before sunset. Also it is very important to remember that NO FRUIT & MILK combination should every be taken or it can cause many conditions related to the respiration and skin issues.
