The most common types include basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma, which can cause abnormal moles, rough patches, skin ulcers, and non-healing sores. I do not have any diagnosed skin conditions, but I sometimes experience freckles, sunspots, and dry patches on my skin, especially after prolonged sun exposure—could these be early signs of skin damage that might lead to cancer? Does Ayurveda classify skin disorders as a Pitta or Kapha imbalance, and what are the best natural ways to protect the skin from cellular damage and UV exposure? Additionally, I want to know whether diet and skincare habits play a role in preventing skin cancer. I consume a lot of fried and processed foods, and I have read that toxins and poor digestion can weaken skin immunity—could my diet be contributing to oxidative stress and increasing my risk of skin cancer? Does Ayurveda recommend specific herbs, antioxidants, or detox therapies to nourish the skin and reduce inflammation?
