Hello Veena, Greetings! Can you please elaborate your symptoms in detail? Do you experience burning, acidity, bloating, or nausea after eating? How is your appetite—do you feel hungry or full quickly? Any issues with bowel movements— like constipation, loose stools, or mucus? Do certain foods worsen your symptoms, especially spicy, oily, or processed foods?

Have you taken painkillers, antibiotics, or steroids long-term? These details will help assess your Pitta imbalance and digestive strength for better Ayurvedic management.

Gastritis and those nagging digestion woes can be such a pain, right? It seems you’re dealing with an imbalance, possibly involving the Pitta Dosha, given the inflammation and erosion in the antrum. And when you’re not feeling hungry, that’s a sure sign that your “Agni” or digestive fire needs attention.

First off, let’s talk about diet. Try to keep things simple and soothing — foods that are easy on the stomach. Cooked vegetables like squash or zucchini, and grains like rice or oatmeal can be helpful. Avoid spicy foods, caffeine, and alcohol, since they can aggravate Pitta. Consider drinking coconut water; it’s cooling and might help soothe the stomach lining. Make sure meals are warm, not cold, and eaten at regular intervals without skipping, as irregular meals can further dampen your Agni.

Don’t forget the magic of herbs. Triphala could become your best buddy—take a teaspoon with warm water before bed. It gently helps with digestion and can support bowel health. Another helpful herb is licorice root, great for its soothing properties; you can take it as a tea, but avoid if you have high blood pressure.

Also, mind your stress. Yeah, I know it sounds like a cliche, but seriously, stress can wreak havoc on digestion. Practicing meditation or gentle yoga for even 15–20 minutes a day can make a noticeable difference.

One more thing—don’t lie down immediately after eating. Let your body work with gravity, giving your tummy time to start the digestion process. Sitting in “Vajrasana” (thunderbolt pose) for a few minutes post-meal aids digestion remarkably.

Oh! And if you notice anything getting worse, or new symptoms crop up, or you’re just not getting relief, make sure to check in with a doc, alright? Safety first, always. The combo of Ayurveda and standard health care is powerful! Take care and hope these suggestions bring you some relief.
