Nozi, your long-term use of PPIs (proton pump inhibitors) since 2019 along with persistent hyperacidity, constipation, nausea, and weight loss suggests that your gut health might be compromised. Hello Nozi, Firstly avoid PPI for long term try to reduce the dosage by taking this following medicine.

As PPI will destroy the good bacteria in stomach & normal GUT health. Severe gastritis will also lead to anxiety issues.

Avoid spicy sour sweet food, oily fried items, processed foods coffee and tea, aerated juices

Take yogurt or jeera Buttermilk before food in afternoon.

1) Madhiphala rasayana 3tsf-3tsf-3tsf with 3tsf water before food 2) kamadugha ras 1-0-1 after food 3) triphala choorna 0-0-1/2tsf with glass warm water at bedtime.

Thank you

Hello Nozi, The prolonged use of PPIs (Proton Pump Inhibitors) can also affect the stomach’s ability to produce acid, leading to imbalances that may worsen digestive symptoms like nausea and constipation. In Ayurveda, your symptoms could indicate an imbalance in both Pitta and Vata doshas, leading to digestive issues and anxiety-related symptoms. To support your body, we might focus on calming treatments with herbs like Triphala, licorice, and Ashwagandha, which can soothe the digestive system and help with anxiety. Have you had any recent blood tests or gastrointestinal investigations, like an endoscopy or stool tests, to assess how your body is responding to long-term PPI use?

Your situation sounds quite challenging, especially having dealt with it for an extended period. It appears you’re dealing with an imbalance that may involve acidic digestion, possible Pitta dosha aggravation, all of which can manifest as hyperacidity, ulcers, constipation, and nausea.

Firstly, let’s address your diet. Since you’re sensitive to spicy foods, it’s crucial to focus on a Pitta-pacifying diet. Opt for cooling foods like cucumber, melon, leafy greens, and coconut water. Avoid sour, salty, and pungent tastes, which can increase Pitta. Include whole grains like oats, quinoa, and rice that support a smoother digestive process.

As you’re also experiencing constipation, consuming fibrous fruits like pears and papayas can be beneficial. Ghee, taken with warm milk at night, can aid in bowel movement as well. Ensure your meals are at regular intervals—this balances the agni or digestive fire, preventing further aggravation.

Stress and anxiety might contribute to your weight loss and digestive issues. Regular practice of Pranayama, particularly Nadi Shodhan and Ujjayi Breathing, can calm the mind and support digestion. Sleep hygiene is vital too; aim for 7-8 hours of restful sleep to aid overall recovery.

Although you’re on PPI medication, Ayurvedic support such as herbs might complement your regimen. Consider consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner to integrate herbs like Amalaki or Yashtimadhu, which are known for their soothing effects on the stomach lining and can assist in reducing acidity.

For nausea, ginger tea or fresh ginger slices soaked in honey can be beneficial. Ensure you take small sips throughout the day rather than drinking all at once.

If your symptoms persist or worsen, or if the weight loss continues unexpectedly, seeking further medical evaluation might be necessary to rule out other underlying causes. Safety is paramount, and integrating these recommendations with guidance from your healthcare professional could deliver the best outcome for your health.
