Hi Azeem,
Thank you for sharing the detailed history. Can you tell me how your digestion is and if you experience any bloating or discomfort after meals? Are you able to manage stress well, or have you noticed any anxiety or mood fluctuations since your heart surgery?
Ayurveda can help address the root cause of your erectile dysfunction by focusing on improving Vata and Kapha balance, using herbs like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Gokshura. A diet rich in nourishing, easily digestible foods and regular, gentle exercises like yoga could support overall vitality.
Thanks dear doc. I am not addict of any thing. Take tea three time a day. No digestive problem. I was facing erectile dysfunction before operation also…after surgery I lost 8 kg weight and sexual was good than before. But I used Omeprazole and noted that it is effecting my sex drive…Ii stopped it but improvement was slow…no other issue with food and medicine.
Avoid addiction if any. Regular exercise and meditation. Tab.Confido 2-0-2 Ashwagandharishta 15ml twice with lukewarm water.
Hello Mr Azeem, In Ayurveda, erectile dysfunction (ED) can be linked to an imbalance in the Vata or Pitta dosha, often caused by stress, poor digestion, or a weakened reproductive system. Lifestyle factors like a sedentary routine, unhealthy diet, and lack of proper sleep can also contribute. How is your digestion and appetite? Do you experience bloating, acidity, or constipation? How often do you feel stressed or anxious? Do you get proper sleep at night? How is your energy level throughout the day? What is your current diet like? Do you consume alcohol, caffeine, or tobacco? How often do you exercise or engage in physical activity? Are you experiencing any other symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, or chest discomfort? Is the erectile dysfunction consistent or occasional? Have you noticed any emotional changes, like mood swings or lack of interest? Do you feel any burning sensation while urinating or any urinary discomfort? Have you tried any other remedies or supplements for your concerns?

Understanding how a history of hypertension, diabetes, and recent coronary bypass surgery, affects your condition is crucial in offering an Ayurvedic approach. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a multifaceted issue in Ayurveda, potentially related to Vata imbalance, weakness in Shukra Dhatu (reproductive tissue), and overall vitality or Ojas. Let’s explore some suggestions keeping your current medical regimen and condition in mind.
In Ayurveda, Ashwagandha is a powerful herb that helps with strength and vitality. It restores energy levels and, by balancing Vata, it can help with anxiety that might accompany ED. You could take Ashwagandha powder, about 1 teaspoon with warm milk or water, at night before sleeping. It is gentle and can support the body over time but, given your medical history, monitor for any adverse effects and consult with your healthcare provider regularly.
Gokshura, another herb, is known to promote virility and is beneficial in impotence. It can help in improving the quality of Shukra Dhatu. Incorporate Gokshura capsules, 500mg twice daily after meals, but make sure to confirm it doesn’t interact with your existing medications, especially since you’re on blood thinners.
Diet plays a significant supporting role as well. Including foods that are good for heart health and Shukra Dhatu is important. Focus on having warm, nourishing meals, incorporating ghee and nuts like almonds and walnuts. These are known to boost Ojas and support male reproductive health. Avoid overly spicy, sour, or cold foods, as they could aggravate your condition.
Engaging in stress management is key; yoga postures like Baddha Konasana and Vajrasana increase pelvic circulation and are gentle enough following your surgery (with proper guidance). Pranayama, specifically Anulom Vilom and slow, deep breathing, can help manage stress and enhance overall circulation.
Lastly, ensure good hydration and avoid strenuous activities that could strain the heart, allowing the body to gently return to balance. While these Ayurvedic solutions may support your journey, prioritize regular follow-ups with your cardiologist to avoid any risk or complications given your complex health profile.
